I love mine. It came in last Monday, been wearing it a week. I've worn an Ionic (loved it, but way too big for my 4.5" wrist), a Blaze, a Charge HR, a Surge, and a Flex. I'm definitely a regular user and upgrader.

I have some connection glitches with the Versa, but had them with the Ionic and Blaze as well, I actually attribute that more to Android and the bluetooth version on my Pixel 2 phone. It seems to be getting better with every update. I have had a little trouble changing the watchband on the Versa, but I'm getting it down.

The Versa is pretty, seems to have promised battery life (charged it to 93% last Monday night, battery was at 24% when I charged it on Friday. Currently at 50% now, have exercised every day.), is doing fine with my sleep and step tracking. I'm very happy with it overall, any quibbles aside.

First day and I absolutely LOVE it!  Set-up was less than 1/2 hour and I have been playing with it ever since.  Can't wait to swim with it tomorrow!

I’ve had my Versa for about 10 days now and I love it! After three years of wearing Charge and Charge 2 the Versa feels like a major upgrade. I have the charcoal SE and the woven strap is great. No glitches so far with the software but it did log a car journey as a bike ride today - ooops! Loving the multitude of watch faces !

My several hour experience with the Versa has been mostly positive. I had an issue with getting music to load, but that was related to my Pandora account, and not the Versa. I hadn't used Pandora for a long while but they still had my account as active. I've found no issues with the touch screen. I was able to move the icons without issues. I did turn up the vibration setting from the default. I'm looking forward to trying out all of the experiences in the next several weeks, but the Versa is so good looking and comfortable to wear and my experience with earlier Fitbit devices has been very positive, so I am confident this will be too.

Next day:

Sleep tracking on the Versa was very good. I noticed nothing different from the quality I got from the Charge 2 I had used before. Step tracking also was very good throughout the day. I was even surprised when I plugged the Versa into its charger and my Pandora music started downloading, so even that earlier problem eventually resolved itself.

It is sad that the vocal minority scares away potential buyers.  Especially when it seems like many of the problems may be solved with some technical savvy.

Its true with me and the Ionic.  I really wanted one and started hanging out in the community forums but all the issues drove me away.  I did, however, end up ordering a Versa and just waiting for its delivery.

If you have a unit that performs to spec great. If stairs and steps don't perform properly, folks should downplay our concerns esp when Fitbit says to expect this as the altimeter is sensitive. As the Charger is effective in this regard Fitbit made a poor altimeter choice for Versa or there are defective altimeters in a large number of early units.

As many users compare daily steps with friends, a defective step function is a key issue.

As is my poor tap display function. Apple would not let these issues fester for their latest model without comment.

Enjoy your fully functioning units.

Apple frequently ignores issues, blames users, and is not relevant at all to issues involving Versa. I've owned mine since launch day and haven't seen step or stairs recording any different from my former Charge HD. Finally tried out music the other day and that works well too, although loading of play lists is slower than I'd like.

Good to hear you're pleased.

For me I now discover Versa has falsely recorded 2 outdoor bike trips for me over the past 2 days each about 30 minutes. Clearly my sensors are faulty. I keep restarting as they suggested. QA is not up to standard.

I'll never purchase a new tech gadget again this soon post launch. I don't need to pay $300 to be a beta tester.

Main reason I bought the Versa was for the heart beat monitoring. That feature works as I expect.

I also like its workout detection accuracy as well as the small footprint on my wrist.

I've got negative feedback as well, but that's not within the scope of the question.

I had my Versa for less than a month before it just suddenly died on me. While it was working I really enjoyed it. I returned it to Best Buy to get a replacement so I’m patiently waiting for it to come in. I’m hoping the second time around will be better. I really do like the Versa and hope this replacement hangs around with me much longer than a month.

As to Apple's relevance, their watch was my only alternative to Versa.  Apple's series 3  is a smart watch with fitness tracking abilities, a competitor I'm sure the Versa marketing team considers in their competitive set.

I chose Versa because of it's superior fitness focus and cut down smart watch functions resulting in its lower price.

Unfortunately their QA is no match for my years of Apple experiences. And why Fitbit is struggling to stay viable in this ultra competitive market.

Sorry but I see Apple as completely relevant.

What I love about the Versa.

Stylish small face.
Comfort on my wrist and barely know its there
Waterproof for swimming and app for lap counting
Custom clock face - love the tachometer face
Heart rate and sleep function are useful and new to me
Steps and calories would be as well pending accuracy improvement
It's a simple focused fitness tool. Apple Watch is too complex, cluttered and has many functions I'd never use but pay for eg phone call.
Long battery life - 4 days for me altho I'm not listening to music yet.
Quick charge time - charger is too big

Yeah I think it is great.  I've been away from the fitbit fold for a year because I wanted to give an Android watch a go, but I found Google Fit to be nowhere near as inspiring as fitbit and I missed the sleep tracking because the Android watch was too bulky to wear at night and needed charging every night anyway.

The Versa is comfy and easy to read in daylight.  The battery is lasting 4 days to 25% when it reminds to recharge so it would probably go at least another day.  Notifications and music control work as well as they do on Android wear.  Sometimes sync seems a bit grumpy but it sorts itself out after a while if you just give it a bit of time.  Updating wouldn't work on my work's wifi but no problem at home. Generally a good experience so far.

No.  Nothing positive.

Nope. Its a dud. Waste of $200. App won't track cycling and apparently gps connection is unavailable on my phone, which if it was clearly stated (its not, which is why there are many frustrated customers), I've wouldn't have purchased it. I can see why thier stock hovers between 5 and 6 bucks.

I bought my Versa on the first day and have travelled with it extensively. It does everything I expect of it and has worked reliably. I use it for tracking, sleep monitoring, general health, notifications, a handful of apps and sometimes music. I've never used the coach feature or connected GPS so I can't comment on those. I like the style, fit, capabilities and price.

Ive has the original Fitbit, Fitbit charge 2 & I got the versa last September for my birthday. My husband did a lot of research on versa, ionic, Apple Watch and we went with the versa. Overall I really like my versa!! The only thing I’m disappointed in is not having the option for quick replies with IPhone users. Which is a long going topic I didn’t see anything that said they were only available for Android users and hen I ordered mine. It would be nice to have the option but honestly I didn’t have the option before so it would’ve have been nice but if it’s not available it’s not a deal breaker. I wasn’t disappointed that none of the advertisements mentioned it wasn’t available for iPhones when I ordered mine. Now its possible after I bought mine it’s states it. It would be nice to have it but overall I’m very happy with my versa!! My best friend has a series 3 iWatch and she really likes my versa and thinks it’s more user friendly then her IWarch. I guess it all comes down to personal preference. I’m my opinion I think it’s best a great blend between a smart watch and fitness watch. Good luck on your purchase and I hope whatever you get you’re happy with. 😉

I'm wearing my second Versa, a Versa 2.  I trickled down my Versa 1 to my brother-in-law and it is now over 2 years old and running well with no problems. I am very happy with my Versa. It provides an excellent bunch of facilities at a relatively low cost. My wife and daughter are also happy with theirs.
