I would just like to know if anyone knows how it connected and disconnects?

There is a little pin on the underside that you push to release or to insert.  It's a little more inconvenient to change bands (I've had the Flex & Alta prior to the Versa) but perhaps I'll get more efficient with it as I use it more - I just received my Versa yesterday.

Hopefully this link works to a Fitbit article - or I'm sure if you Google it, there are probably videos out there on how to change them (to get a better visual)  https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2084

Oops that message sent to quick, I was planning to get the Versa as my Charge 2 kinda fell in the water and I don't really trust the band so I'm planning to get that replaced and give it away and get the Versa.

Warranty is here and does not cover you dropping it in the water.

I had already been in contact with them and it wasn't by accident, it was the band breaking, they will replace it but I will probably still get the Versa, they offered 50% all their Fitbits up to the Charge 2 but that seems pointless when I can just get a free replacement.

Having only owned the Versa for only a day, I'm not super confident that the band won't come off from the tracker piece, the pin is really small and I had some challenges trying to get it in the right way.  There's no 'hard click' that I'm used to with the band on the Alta to let me know it's secure.

The good thing is that the Versa should survive if it falls into water.  My concern would be that it's so lightweight that if I didn't attach the strap on properly and it came undone, it could fall off and I may not notice right away....

I’ve had my Versa almost a month now. It is tricky to get those little pins in place. Just recently the band has come off for really no explainable reason. I think I might be hitting the release side of the pin though. I’m going to try putting that part down against my wrist and see if that helps.

Once I have it in place, I give it a jiggle side to side if I am not sure if it has clicked into place.   I can usually also see that the lever has moved into the locked position.  I have not had a problem since doing that.  Now that I have been changing bands for a few days and understand the mechanism better, I am finding it pretty quick and easy.
