How does the Versa track aquafit or water aerobics? Or does it? Wondering if it's a good buy for what I want. I only do aquafit once a week as part of my plan but would like to know if it will track it based on activity level.

Hello @needleandthread, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board the Fitbit Community.
I appreciate you have brought this to my attention. Please note that the Fibit Versa has SmartTrack included. The SmartTrack feature automatically recognizes and identifies select continuous, high-movement activities at least 15 minutes long, to ensure you get credit for your most active moments of the day. When you sync your device, basic stats about your activity are recorded in your exercise history. For more information, see What should I know about SmartTrack?
Additionally, in the Versa you can start tracking the activity by opening the Exercise app, then swipe to find the exercise of your choice. If you want to track your Aquafit/Water Aerobics activity, I would suggest to select Workout. Tap the exercise to select it. You’ll see the Let’s Go! screen. Follow these steps to finish the exercise:
I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Why can't programers/engineers take workout off or just add water aerobics to the the list for Versa users?
One of the reasons I bought the Versa was bc it is waterproof so I thought I would of been able to track water aerobics with it as I am sure many other users feel the same way.

Reading your answer to @needleandthread, I think you answered part of my question. I always remove my Versa when I go into to pool. If I wear it in water, how long can I safely do it?

@crowgin I am not sure if there is a time limit for wearing the Versa in the pool but I am pretty sure there is a limit for how deep it can go. Yesterday I was in the pool for 4 hours with it on & no issues.

I was just wondering if I can add in my exercise tile on my versa water aerobics instead of using the workout tile then changing it later to water aeribics????

I see you have had the versa since January & use it in the pool. As it is now July I hope the pool has not affected it as that is what I have bought mine for - my water aerobics. Can you let me know how it has stood up to the chlorine.
Thank you
Glors

@SunsetRunner I would like the same option! I did notice that the Versa auto tracks water exercise as aerobic exercise.

@SunsetRunner I have only been in the pool water since mid April (Versa came out April 16th, I believe) & no problems. I do rinse it off sometimes even wash it with dish soap.

Thank you for replying - I will do as you say & rinse it after every water aerobics class & wash with soap once a week as I do 8 sessions a week. Thanks again Glors

Did you purchase the Versa? Does it track your water aerobics class accurately? Mine doesn't. Would like to know if you had the same issue

I used the workout mode as suggested and it tracked it just fine. But when I went to that app on my phone and looked to see the exercise I done that day it doesn’t show anything. Work out is not one of the automatically downloaded modes. How do I get it to show up on my phone ? And also I can’t open it back up on my watch to review the data.

I did AquaFit at my pool at work for an hour and my Fitbit is still working so far.

Using "Workout" during aqua aerobics has not been a great experience for me. The workout will often pause with a rush of water hitting it. I have done 60 min work outs only to realize they were paused 12 or 15 mins through due to water activating the touch screen. I now use "swimming" as the touch screen is disabled in that activity. However, swim does not track heart rate. Super disappointed in the functionality of this fitbit. Please tell me there is a way to use "workout" while disabling touch feature.
Thanks, Desireah
