Does versa use mobile data when not in wifi area?

I don’t understand how it really works. So when i m out do i have to  have my phone with me in case the watch to work accurately? I do have my phone most of the times anyway but do i have to have fitbit app on in case the watch to work? Does the watch use mobile data ?

The Versa will measure and keep track of all the various data it is designed for all by itself and no phone has to be anywhere nearby.  However, in order to receive notifications of phone calls or other communication to/from the phone including syncing, the phone must be nearby within 20 feet or so.

 

 Here is the User Manual which will answer most of your questions about your new tracker.
