Hi Everyone - Bought my Versa 1 week back and notice that for calls, text, alarm etc alerts Versa vibrates for like 4-5 seconds and vibration stops, and then only the display shows the notification. Is it common for you all?
Thanks for confirming! 🙂

Yes, it wont vibrate for long periods of time - just short bursts.

Yes the Brrda will vibrate when a notification I'd received, then the user will need to raise their arm and totate to activate quick view. The notification should then be displayed.
You might be able to tap on the notification and send a quick response from the wrist, or iteject,/answer a phone call

Yeah it's a pain in the neck. Sometimes if I'm in a deep sleep, I miss the short vibration too. On the Pebble it would vibrate until I cancel it which was better.

I agreed I hope this feature will have on Versa in the next firmware update!

Thanks for the confirmation.
These short bursts are too short for a smartwatch. I often miss the notification because of the short duration of vibration while driving or doing something very seriously. Versa is definitely a Fitness tracker **ahem** smartwatch and it's a shame to see such basic features missings.
Can it be fixed via firmware updates?

Interesting we have many reports that these same notification vibrations wake some users up.

This honestly pissed me off. My Alta woke me up because it kept vibrating. If the vibrations stop before I wake up, it defeats the purpose of the alarm. Please put longer vibration back or at the very least, give people the option to choose!

@Rich_Laue - Maybe such users are very few... I tend to miss a lot of notifications/calls due to these short bursts of vibration. Fitbit much allow Versa users to choose the vibration duration or should itself increase the vibration via a firmware update.
This is unacceptable for a smartwatch.

Very unacceptable. It’s one of the highlight features of the watch and it isn’t working well for many. Hope it is a top priority!

One of the Fitbit's does have an adjustable vibration but I hardly feel any difference.
The streangth of the vibration is based on how big of a weight and how much free room may be found in the unit. Really the only thing that can easily be changed would be the leangth of vibration.
Please remember that the board we are in is where Fitbit users donate their time to help others with their hardware problems. Adjusting the vibration is a little outside of the ability of the Fitbit user.

I've no issues with the strength of the vibration, I would be more than happy to be given an option of setting the duration of vibration. I won't mind if Fitbit does that.

Point is, whatever they are able to do, they should do it. Fitbit is slacking!
