So...Looked at my watch today and it had a deep scratch or crack. Not sure which one yet. I didn't hit it against anything, just drove my car and sat in a meeting. I decided to chat with customer support because I figured since it had been 63 days since the purchase, it was now 15 days out of their return policy. So I chatted and they said,
"We do not offer a protector for the screen, and we do not have a repair center so their is no option for repairing you watch." I felt bad for the support rep because all they could do was tell me to read the policy. Which is what I'm sure they are told to do by their supervisor. Which is incredibly demeaning to your customers.
You can't pay them to fix it. You can't get it replaced. You can't even exchange the old on for a discounted new one. You a basically on your own. If you damage your watch, or if it becomes damaged through no fault of your own your only option is to purchase a new one.
Wish I would have known this before, so that's why I'm telling you. Needless to say, this is my last FitBit purchase. HORRIBLE TREATMENT OF CUSTOMERS. If you had just done something small to support a paying customer you could have had an advocate for life, but instead, I'll be letting everyone I know not to purchase from FitBit.

@LNoah If you paid with a credit card, they might take care of you.

Most companies do not warranty their product for damage caused by external objects.
Fitbit does offer an extended warranty that would have covered this. It also covers loss and theift.

Thread topic is hilarious. How bout don't purchase a product without doing research? At Fitbit checkout you're offered accidental damage protection. Just blew right by that did ya? Return date doesn't matter. It was damaged. Although there have been reports on the forum from people with people skills getting their way. Might depend on your approach as well as who you get on the Fitbit end. I've seen that 1st hand.

Fitbit has never offered any repair service. All they can do is replace.

They do make screen protectors for the versa. You can purchase them on Amazon, Ebay or at Walmart.

The cost of replacing an apple watch screen, by apple, depending on the model runs between 200 and 800.with one model at 2,800.
At these prices one might think about buying a new watch.
Fitbit I think feels it is easier to offer a discount instead of the Hassel of returning, fixing, and sending back.
