Although advertised as water resistant and good-to-go for swim tracking, this is obviously a false claim. Don't risk it if you're past the warranty period, at best you'll get a 25% discount on a new purchase. I can't justify spending that much money on a new device every year and a half (or less in this case) because it can't perform as advertised. Especially when my wife's Apple Watch hasn't had an issue after far more use in water than my Versa got. Seems like a very poor investment.
I followed all of the suggestions that FitBit gives regarding use in water, but that apparently didn't matter. Pretty shady business from a company who's products I have loved using over the past few years. I'll likely go elsewhere for a replacement fitness tracker.

It's a gamble for any watch to take in the water. That's because a certain percentage of all new watches leave the factory with defective a seal. And because Apple sells more watches, I'll bet that they shipped more defective watches than Fitbit.
