Don’t want Versa connected to my phone

I bought a Fitbit versa for my son. I used my phone to set it up, and now my phone calls and texts are going to his versa. I have an Apple Watch and don’t want his phone connected in that way. I have searched through the phone online and can not figure out how to set up his phone another way. It’s very confusing. Any help would be appreciated

I'm confused.  First you say you set it up on your phone and your calls and texts are going to his Versa.  But then you talk of not wanting his phone connected that way.

So whose phone are you talking about?

 Did you set it up on your phone but want it set up on his phone?

Or when you say you want to set up his phone a different way, do you actually mean his tracker, not his phone?

You have to use a Mobil device to set up watch. I used my phone because my son does. Or have a phone. I think I figured out how to stop it, I just turned off the notifications.
