I just gotten this Versa watch from Mercari and needed to do a factory reset since it didn't wanted to sync up and now its on a permanent boot loop, as soon I connect the charger it does the usb connect sound and then disconnect sound meaning bootloop, so now I have a non working watch due to do this minor issue
I was gonna test Via on the 7G iPod Touch I've tried the 2-button hardware and no go....I felt I just wasted some money on mercari just to get this and bricks itself?
Also the battery was dead and charged it to 6% and attempted the setup and didn't work so I went out of the app to cancel it and then factory reset....and resulted in this bootloop
update: actually forget it I'll get the run around as I tried it many times and nothing...I just wasted $75 after an issue with Fedex and Mercari....I'll just leave the world of Fitbit now since I wanted to try out the watches!

Is this the Mercari selling app? Was it a company or individual that the unit was purchased from.
Are you sure that you bought a working unit?
You say that the unit did not sync so a factory reset was needed. Does that mean you where able to add the tracker to your account?
As for the connect disconnect sound, this probably means a dirty connection or bad charging cord. Have you tried cleaning the contacts? Rebooting should show up on the screen, not by sound.

yeah I had issue trying to link it up (was gonna link it via iPod touch 7g for testing what features it will have limited to) as the battery was dead and go to 6% to see that it works....so I kept the versa on the charging stand, done the factory reset and it never recovered resulting in the boot loop.
Which means it never recovered even if I just kept it on a cheap amazon power usb plug it just means to me its dead Jim.

I'm not sure what you mean by link up, @SunsetRunner? Where you in the Fitbit app and performing an Add Device?
Your beebs probably are simply telling you that you have a bad charging connection and nothing to do with the reboot.
Now a bad charging connection could cause the tracker to shutdown and restart if the battery is very dead.

I had no issue of the charger when it showed me the screen and it was charging as indicated on the battery's charging state I'll just let it go for a little more and see what happens next even it damages the battery, I just don't have time to buy another Versa 1 charger to replace this one if that's the case I could try doing a little clean.
I do have a multimeter and using 200 M to display it as 00.0 and what I been noticing though issues witht he charger the battery is slowly going up like it shows 04.8 when I put the probes on the far right side of the contacts
Update: I had to waste some money on a new charger and nope same result same loop its actually boot looping!
