Email from original account setup will not change on watch

I have changed my email on the dashboard, but it will not change on the phone. I tried:

  1. Restarting both phone and watch and syncing after changing it on the dashboard
  2. Turning off notifications, email notifications, and calendar notifications; restarting both phone and watch; syncing, and then turning notifications back on again.
  3. Disabling Notifications at the top of the app where it says "Disable Notifications"; restarting both phone and watch; syncing, and then turning it back on again.
  4. Removing the watch from the phone, restarting both phone and watch; and going through setup again.

I received the verification email, which went through with no problem. On the dashboard, everything is correct - but on the watch, I am still getting the calendar and email notifications from my old email.

In all cases, I never received the Google authentication pop-up to choose which email I want to associate with the Versa. I received that Google pop-up the very first time I created my Fitbit account, but while going through all the steps mentioned above, I did not receive the prompt to change the email which I give authorization to Versa. I checked my Google account in 3rd party apps, an I don't see Fitbit mentioned anywhere in the original account...or the new account (obviously).

I realized that Fitbit uses my phones native email account. I have many accounts, but I use one in particular for Google calendar, hangouts, and email. And even though I changed it on the dashboard, it did not change on the watch because those apps use that primary email and the Fitbit only replicates what is happening on the phone. So I realized I had to download email, calendar, and messaging apps that allowed me to select which email accounts to use and select those apps in the Fitbit notifications area. Now the Fitbit shows me the notifications from the email address I want to see.

I think the issue is I have several email accounts on my phone. When I first setup my Fitbit account, I used my phone's main email address. Now, I just want to use one particular email address that is on my phone. And I changed my Fitbit account on the dashboard to that particular email address. But I'm still getting the emails from the main email address.
