Email notifications limited to "certain" types?

Hello all. New to this board after recent purchase of a Versa 2.

I love the watch, but I'm disappointed in the notifications it provides. After struggling with various settings I've been able to receive text, facebook messenger, and work emails...but when it comes to Gmail, I'm only able to receive personal emails. All other emails from sources such as CNET and various other websites I subscribe to don't show up. I've been back and forth with Fitbit support. That latest answer was that "there are only certain emails that Fitbit can receive". Is this true? How does Fitbit differentiate between a personal email and a corporate one? This makes little sense. My previous smartwatch from Samsung received ALL emails.

@Uechiguy Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your email notifications. This is really odd. Could it be that the settings on your Gmail account is affecting these notifications. In the sense that if the emails don't reach the inbox but are labeled as "Social, Promotions, etc" then they don't reach as notifications on your Versa. I suggest you try removing labels or changing them to reach your personal/main inbox (for example Cnet could easily be labeled as Promotion so allow it to reach Primary).

Let me know how it goes.

Hello AlvaroFitbit,

Thanks for answering my query. None of the "other" emails I mentioned are set to go anywhere other than my regular inbox. It seems that I only get notifications on certain emails, and those are VERY sporadic. For example, I received a notification today on a Gmail from Amazon....in the meantime I checked my inbox and had 7 other emails in there, none of which appeared as a notification. The Versa 2 is consistent on notifications for text messages, and that's about it. I have it set to notify me about work emails as well. So far, I've received notifications on a couple, while several others have not shown up.
