Hi folks,
Whenever I try to use the Spotify app on my Versa 1, it fails to connect to the Spotify service and just shows the Spotify logo with the word 'Connecting...' until it times out.
I figured out that the reason why this is happening is because my Spotify 'Premium' account is not being recognised as a Premium account. When I go into the Spotify app 'settings' from within the Fitbit App on my phone... it states that the Spotify account that I'm logged in as is a 'Free account' (not premium). It also states "A spotify premium subscription is required to use spotify on fitbit", see screenshot below. If I log out and back in again... it will be recognised as a Premium account again for a while and the app then works fine. However, the next time I go to use the Spotify app on my Versa... it will fail to connect again for the same reason.
So effectively, every time I want to use the Spotify app on my Versa successfully, I have to first open the Fitbit app on my phone.... go into 'Apps'.... then select 'Settings' on the Spotify app.... then press the logout link and then log back in again. The Spotify app on my Versa will then connect successfully.
Does anybody else experience this problem with the Spotify app on their Versa 1...? There's virtually nothing reported about this issue on the internet as far as I can tell. Can anybody advise how to sole this issue.... or can FitBit advise when an update for the app might be available that resolves this problem?

Same issue although I have not been able to get the spotify premium account recognised at all.

OK I have found another thread regarding similar issues to GG OP. Many users seem to be having constant issue maintaining a connection as well. The app requires further development to fix multiple bugs. I have tried all the suggestions I can find:
- logging out and back in to all accounts
- switching devices off and on
- uninstall/reinstall fit bit app and spotify apps
- factory reset fitbit versa
Spent a whole day on this and still only get logged in as a 'Spotify Free Account'
I have a premium spotify account so I am at a complete loss why I can not get it to work other than the app itself. The other thread has 5 pages of people with a variety of issues. I might give up for now and try in a month 😞
I came from samsung gear which just worked. I am regretting my Fitbit Versa purchase as this is not the only feature that I have had issues with.
