Error from Alexa - can't understand my questions on Versa 2

I have a brand new Fitbit Versa 2 - Just unboxed it today (1/6/20). After set-up, Alexa worked once out of the box (I asked her the weather).  But now I only get an error that she doesn't understand my requests. I repeat, new message about not understanding.  I'm asking simple questions/commands (Set a timer for 5 minutes, What is the temperature outside?, etc).

Restarted my phone, and seems to be working --- for now.
