Why is this now available on only some Charge 3 and Versas?

Ratio is of limited help.  For me anyways.  SP02 is the number to visualize.. Not it's derivative over time

Exactly. A mystery variance chart that doesn't tell you your actual levels
over night with detail, and the lack of any on demand or real time
readings, makes their use of the sensor a joke. And it's beyond upsetting
to buy such a watch believing from the sales materials that it has SPO2
capability and then finding that joke is way beyond disappointing.

:hundred_points: agree that's why I bought it as I'm on oxygen therapy 24/7 so I like to keep check of it which is what I thought I was doing

Gotta find a way to make this useful. Is Fitbit/Google allowed to provide this information?  Let's start with that.

This is why people buy products .. we want to learn how our lungs are working!!! Why would anyone want a variability reading.. question for Fitbit/Google:  Are fitness watches allowed to record and provide oxygen saturation over time to end users?  Had anyone looked into improving Dr/patient relationships?  Would a non calibrated SPO2 be allowed by FDA?

Given that other companies provide real, not mystery sleep SPO2 charts,
yes, that's allowed. Keep in mind that any firm may have disclaimers and
limitations, and may need Fed approval for certain things.

As to on demand or real time, here are some issues;
1. Finger clip works best because it can shine lights through finger.
2. A number of brands do on demand, maybe every x seconds or minutes.
3. One issue; because it uses reflected light sources, it's harder. On the
brand I use, it needs your wrist and hand to be reasonably warm - in my
case, my hands are always cold unless I do something I do something first.
But if the wrist and hand in question are warm enough, it works well.
4. I don't know if any current watch can get good results when you're
walking. But the tech keeps improving.
5. I'm still glad I got something that works.

The wellue o2Ring lights up a finger.

Seems a good model

Why would Fitbit not-provide O2 dats? Fear of misrepresentation? I am done
purchasing devices that don't provide spO2;on desired schedule. All I t is
relative accuracy.
