Why is this now available on only some Charge 3 and Versas?

My daughter re-linked her Versa lite as a new device (in the UK) and she has the graph now.

I have the Versa and do not have it (in the UK) I might try doing the same later.

Anyone else have any joy doing this?

Great.

Now what can you actually do with the meaningless numbers?

If you have big variations, then you might be snoring or experiencing sleep apnea. Or might be because you are stuffed up. All of those can disrupt your sleep and measures can be taken such as taking sinus medication, or losing weight to lower the number of interruptions.

Far less useful than actual percentages. Leads you to pure guess work,
IMHO.

PBug56 - I don’t understand your question. If you are asking how do you interpret SO2 data in the context of your daily activity, you do it by using the numbers to track changes in blood oxygen levels.

I really think that once you see the charts, and are honest, you will stop calling them meaningless and consider them useful.

Your claim that the competitive watches which also use wrist-style pSO2 detectors provide superior accuracy seems dubious. There has been talk of using Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning techniques to possibly improve accuracy, we will see where that goes.

Furthermore the idea that such a device could ever match clinical fingertip devices also seems questionable.

This does not mean that these pSO2 on-wrist detectors are not useful.

I have no trouble understanding how to utilize SPO2 data in my life.
Looking for apnea, respiratory issues, O2 levels dropping more than they
ought to during various levels of exercise, etc. Things to tell me I have
an issue to discuss with my doctors.

I've seen photos of the chart, and understand that they only cover when
Fitbit decides you are sleeping. A deviation from an unknown standard,
with no indication of how low or high you may be.

I do not believe that I've claimed other watches are 'more accurate'. I
have noted that other watches do provide SPO2 percentages. And that users
have indicated on this site that the accuracy is close to what they get on
finger clips. I can understand it being a bit less accurate - and it would
be nice to be able to calibrate it against a known finger clip. In other
words, to me this represents a slightly less accurate than finger clips but
a lot more practical to keep on all the time (perhaps several samples per
minute). I could look at it as I walk, or run, or otherwise exercise.
Sleep charting could match up to heart rate and motion to help suggest
levels of apnea (definitely FDA approval on that depending on how far it
goes).

I also understand that anything useful may take FDA approval - but since
other firms have obviously achieved that, Fitbit should have also done so a
year or two ago or longer.

When did the first Fitbit with an SPO2 sensor came out, and when was it
first announced? And how long does FDA approval take typically

I think the first models was the charge 3 /  versa and versa 2 which is the newest so I think charge 3 models but can’t be sure

I'm not sure how their roll-out logic works....

I'm in the UK with a versa..........not got

Daughter in UK with Versa lite.........got

Friend in UK with Versa lite........not got

From that, it doesn't appear country or device specific.

Hello everyone!

Thanks for sharing your experience and letting us know that the EOV graph is disappearing from time to time. We aware of it and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible.

We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

In the meantime, I'd recommend that you force close the Fitbit app and then open it again. That could temporarily get the graph to show up once again.

Please let us know if there's anything we can do to assist you in the meantime.
