Besides all Versas, all Ionics and charge 3s have the sensor. It has nothing to do with a new app. Fitbit will just enable SpO2 monitoring whenever they choose to. There is a rumor that all will have it by the end of January.

It gets turned on automatically. The program is already in your watch. Keep checking your sleep section, it's supposed to show up on the same screen as your sleep stages. Fingers crossed. Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device

No it will be visible in the Android and iOS app, when available. But so long as their is no official statement about the roll out from Fitbit, it can take months.

I keep checking my phone to see if the Spo2 sensor has been turned on for my Versa Fitbit.  This feature

would be very beneficial for me.  I know some have gotten it but am curious if there is an end target date

where all of us will have access to this feature?  Is it being done one model at a time?

There seems to be no rhyme or reason how the rollout is being done, nor how
long it will take. People whose fitbits DON'T have sensors get it turned
on - which does nothing. There is a rumor that all will be done by the end
of January, but we've also heard that some people who've gotten it have
later lost it, and MAYBE later gotten it back. From what we can see, one
of the recent firmware and software updates makes it possible, but it
appears that Fitbit can remotely turn it on and off at will without any
software change. For reasons unknown to me and others, Fitbit seems to
have no interest in getting us viable information about what's happening.

Also, as far as I know, all that we are getting is a 'change' chart under
the sleep page. No actual percentages. I'm not sure that this has any
viable utility - that remains to be seen. Also supposedly, Fitbit will
submit to the FDA it's idea of 'apnea detection' - which is worth waiting
for a bit if it's actually viable. But so far I've heard nothing about
being able to have a watch face or app that lets us see our O2 levels
(approximate) as we move through our day whether at rest or exercising.
Keeping in mind that we are only talking about what you already get from
inexpensive finger clip devices, this ought to be easy to accomplish. And
incredibly useful in helping us spot issues that we may wish to talk to our
doctors about. But for that we don't even know if one of these years we
might get it, let alone when.

When I was chatting with support they said a certain amount of peaple tested it when it first came out, which was sometime now and you would see it on the sleep section of the Fitbit app as a graph but yeah you are right as it was taken away as they had some problem with the FDA but now sometime this year a full roll out would happen....

hope this helps

The 'Estimated Oxygen Variation graph' is on this moment still not officially introduced by Fitbit. To me it feels like 'beta testing going wrong', because regular users are receiving this feature without any communication or explanation. I am very curious when there will be a post from Fitbit in this community what is happening and what we can or can not expect.

I saw a couple articles online about this and came to the community to see what was happening.  It took a while for me to start getting sleep stages when it first came out so I assume this will be the same.  I'm a patient person.  I did not buy my Fitbit based on this feature.  How could people buy based on this feature if it has not been officially announced?  I'm glad I have one that is eligible for it and I will watch for it.
