Evernote Reminders & Versa

I have been trying to get Evernote reminders to vibrate on the Versa without success.  My other notifications come through almost perfectly but not Evernote.  I would prefer not to run them through my calendar app which is the only way I have found to get the notification.

Has anyone been successful with Evernote?  Any tricks or tips?  I have enabled all the right settings.

@Marrrmaduke  Sorry but I'm not going to bother to work on this.  I much prefer to use reminders in my calendar app.  I previously used Evernote to take handwritten notes on my iPad during meetings when that feature was more uncommon.  Not necessary now which is why I rarely use it.  In fact, I had uninstalled it from my phone and had to reinstall to perform this assessment.  Everything I want (except the glitchy Connected GPS) works flawlessly for me on my Versa so I'm not overly interested in logging out/in, uninstalling/reinstalling.  Sorry.  Good Luck to you, @laurebabus, in finding a solution.

@laurebabus What's your phone model and OS? If you're on Android, go to Android Settings>Notifications>Evernote and make sure that the Importance is set at least to High. Also, make sure you have selected Evernote under Versa App Notifications in the Fitbit mobile app. You can try toggling the notifications Off and enabling them back again with the reboot of Versa in between. TO reboot your tracker press and hold the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes.

@laurebabus  There must be something unique about the Reminders in Evernote.  I have Evernote installed (free version) and receive other notifications from Evernote but not the Reminders.  I think it's something to do with the programming within Evernote.  Have you tried reaching out to that company?

So it is not just me!  lol  I also posted in the Facebook Evernote community group and they gave me the same instructions as here which is what I have been trying for a couple of weeks.  Will let you know if I hear anything.  Think I will have to switch reminders to Calengoo which works seamlessly with the Versa.  They even have an option to have Evernote as a source but then all my notes and reminders appear on the calendar which I do not want.

@laurebabus @kcronin how do these notifications look like in the notification centre? Can you take a screenshot?

@Marrrmaduke  I'm attaching screenshots of the Evernote Notification.  I used Evernote in the past but haven't for a long time.  I did try to test out @laurebabus's question since I thought I would be able to get it to work.  Within Evernote you can make various "notes" to yourself as pictures or audio or text or handwritten notes.  You can attach files to notes as well.  And, you can set reminders for various things (one time only events).  When the time for a reminder comes up the phone tones (if you have sound on) and the Evernote icon appears in the Notification tray at the top of the phone screen.  Pulling down from the top of the phone screen will show the content of the reminder.  However it doesn't roll to the Versa.  Opening the Evernote app only shows a small note of the reminder with the ability to check off that reminder when it's complete.  Funny but other notifications from Evernote to sell me features and alert me to capabilities come to the Versa just fine.  The reminders function seems quite limited and I had never used it prior to today.  I do believe that the type of Push Notification that Evernote is using for the Reminders is different from other push notifications.Evernote Notification 1.pngEvernote Notification 2.png

@kcronin thank you for that great explanation. This might be silly but have you guys tried logging out from Evernote app, rebooting the phone and logging back in? Alternatively, reinstalling Evernote? This definitely should be a push notification, so something's not clicking right.

That's a good idea but when I tried it I still don't get notifications of reminders on the Versa. I did however get a message from Evernote on my versa about a new service. BTW I am a basic subscriber. Maybe that makes a difference.

Thanks for your help. I agree with you and am sticking with the plan b. I will probably let Evernote know but otherwise am moving on. I love my versa and am very happy with it.
