Explanation of pace on Versa's display

HI, using my versa for running, on screen I get a pace of 8'35" - what is this telling me.

I believe I usually run at about 5 min 30sec km's.  That is the type of pace number I expect to see.  What am I not understanding here.

8'35" is saying 8 minutes and 35 seconds. Could it be showing time per mile?

thanks I've since worked out that although I did a 10k run which took 56mins, the kilometres covered on the run cut out at 6.61 and the timer kept going, therefore I got a higher average pace than I was expecting. Any clues as to why the km's would have stopped early?

I would like to know that too, except the last 3 days I’ve ran and all 3 are completely out of whack.

First day was 9’56”, then 64’21”,  THEN 108’13”!! I def wasn’t crawling! Hat does that mean?
