FITBIT PAY IN UK there no major bank options

More bank compatibility for uk Fitbit pay versa users. So far Fitbit pay is not connected to any major banks in the UK. The very few that fit bit pay is connected to I’ve never even heard of. So as a UK versa owner I have the special edition and can’t use the very feature that separates it from the the normal versa.

is Fitbit pay going to compatible with the major banks in the UK like Barclays, Lloyds, Santander, HSBC, NatWest, TSB, Metro Bank, Halifax, Royal Bank of Scotland etc and also I haven’t seen any where (shops) that accepts Fitbit pay yet.

VOTE for more banks to be compatible with fitbit pay by clicking the link More banks for FITBIT pay

I’m in the UK and I’ve just opened an account with Starling Bank specifically for my Fitbit. Been pretty impressed so far and have been using my Fitbit to pay in numerous places. As long as the retailer (or bars in my case) do contactless they’ll accept Fitbit pay.

Starling bank is the the one you open on your phone isn’t it? I think I saw it in the App Store the other day.

Would be be nice to have more bank options though.  I don’t want to have to open an account in order to use Fitbit pay.

Its good to go here it is working in the uk though.    Do vote for more bank options if you can though the more options for us UK folk the better.

@lexi83  Lobby UK Banks. They are the hold up, not Fitbit!

I have open an account with Starling just for that purpose. Opening an account took less than 10 minutes, including ID checks. Current account and Mastercard debit cards are free. Current account can be credited with money from other banks' debit card, or just by usual bank transfers.

Virtual Mastercard card is actually added to Google Pay (on Android) right away after opening the account. However, you need to wait for the physical card to arrive a few days later before being able to add it to Fitbit Pay.

And no, you didn't need to buy the special edition of the Versa for Fitbit Pay/NFC to be included in the UK/Europe. The standard edition includes those too.

Can we please have an update on this as I i've recently brought a fitbit and the UK support is terrible out of the 4 UK banks you support only one have I actually heard of as a consumer bank:

• boon. by Wirecard

• Danske Bank (Mastercard)

• Santander

• Starling Bank (Mastercard)

This is unacceptable compare this to apps like yolt, and others which make use of the banks open APIs. Fitbit is really dragging it's heels here
