FYI...Not all Versa's suck. :)

Just want to make it known that there are Versas (Versae is plural?)  that work as advertised.  Upon opening the package last night, mine charged to full battery and updated in 30 minutes.  While I haven't yet used it for cycling (my primary purpose for buying), everything appears to work as advertised. 

 

If you're being swayed away from Versa based upon the seemingly non-stop negative posts here, just go buy one.  You can always return it if you find it lacking.  You may find what a few have indicated....the complaint to compliment ratio here is tilted toward complaint simply due to human nature.

This is good to hear.  I haven't ordered one yet.  I've been waiting for my Amazon points to accumulate so I can get it cheaper.  🙂  Plus they don't have the color available that I have been leaning towards (gray/silver aluminum).  I'm going for the silver color only because I'm really concerned that the color will wear off of the other choices and I will end up with a silver one anyway.

 

What color did you get and what are your thoughts?

So overnight, you charged and updated, and now made a first post telling us they can work as advertised and we should just go buy one? Funny stuff. Do you happen to work for Fitbit? 

As for your human nature comment, Most people who are happy with their purchases are not looking for a community forum to post on. That's why it's mostly negative here.

Have to say mine seems fine too...did take a couple of attempts at updating but once started took about half an hour. Screen swipes fine, display is fine, battery still at 50 % after 2 full days,  steps count seems more accurate than my charge 2, and my sleep log works too...so far so good ....

Mine has worked great so far in the last week. I've had to figure a few things out, but that's part of the fun of having a new device. I have the special edition rose gold.

 

It can be frustrating when things don't work out the way you hoped. If it doesn't meet your needs, return it. Ordering from FitBit.com give you 45 days to return it for any reason whatsoever.

Alta > Versa > Versa 2 > Sense

I purchased mine Monday afternoon. I did have a longer than I felt was normal update however I uninstalled the app on my Pixel 2 and re-installed and reset my watch. Both picked up right where they should as if the watch had updated. Yes it has only been two days however it's working well for me. I haven't done any running, cycling or swimming with it yet as I am still trying to feel out how it's going to work for me. I had an Apple watch prev and also a Charge HR. So far I am loving the Versa. I am aware it's technology and bugs tend to happen. My Pixel 2 has bugs.. it happens. Stuff tends to show when you have millions of people using the devices. I'm sure FitBit will do updates as things go on and evolve.

Another happy customer, here!   Woman LOL    My experience has been the same; setup, update and GO within 30 minutes.   Happy with the display and functions so far, so YAY.  

 

If you're on the fence, just get one!!   (But order from Amazon; they have free overnight shipping going on for the Versa.)

Nothing is perfect.  But mine worked spot on out of the box.  I even charged it and updated using my phone in a vehicle via WiFi hotspot.  

 

I wonder if some of the posts on here are fake trying to beat down the stock prices.  When you see people quoting stock prices and amazon recalls that didn’t happen it really makes you wonder.

Opened box. Install application on Android phone, followed instructions and suggestions on this forum - and IT worked!

I have now 2 Versa's in my home (my daughter's and mine - standard and special edition) and no big issues on ether one.

Yes, some processes or instructions may not be perfect or detailed enought (like uploading music to the watch or setting notifications) - but this is what this great community forum is for.

 

Get one if that's what you planned to do.Use it. And if it is not meeting your expectation - return it and get something else and hoping that one will be to your liking.

 

I love mine!  Great design, easy to use and looks nice!

That's right Bunnybear. *most* people are not on community forums if their device works like it's supposed to. Others have come for support, received it, and went away again. It's like that with any product. Not everyone is interested in community forums.

I have had mine for three days and am thrilled with it so far. This is replacing a charge 2 which I keep getting wet when it shouldn't be. Am very pleased with using it for walks, treadmill, elliptical and weight workouts. Next week taking it swimming and snorkeling with me in the Florida Keys. 

 

Love the different watch faces and being able to pay with it, so dang cool!

My Versa works great! I've tested messages, calls, and haven't with calendar and email but I'll try it soon! Battery seems fine, two and a half days and it's down to 58% right now. @SunsetRunner I got the peach/rose gold, it's my 2nd days with it so idrk about the colour wearing down stuff but I ordered a black band off of Amazon and I'll probably use that more. I'm more worried about the edges wearing down. Feels great although the bands are hard to change and my screen protector sucks (but that's irrelevant). Auto brightness is good and everything seems to be working well. I've never pre-ordered before only because I've always been paranoid that the first couple are defective but then I was like whatever, gonna pre-order one day. I feel bad for those who receive ones that don't work. Although it was a bit sketchy when I got mine, the seal at the bottom was torn and I thought Best Buy accidentally broke it while putting the order sticker on. Then when I got home, the battery was half full, but that can mean anything, though I bet it's because it's been sitting in the shop for ages. I'll keep y'all posted!:)

Follow up please? Kind of naive to post this and you hadn't even used the thing yet. Mine has been nothing but trouble. I will never buy another Fitbit device.
