Factory reset Versa & now I can't set up in my account

I was browsing watch faces, installed a couple and wanted to get back to original because BPM info is not clearly displayed. Couldn't figure out how and factory reset option was shown.

After that, I cannot register my Versa to fitbit app. Tried all sorts of steps from restarting phone holding 3 buttons down, 2 buttons down, 3 buttons then releasing lower right upon logo shown, restarted bluetooth, removing original instance of Versa from app (which is now blank - no devices registered in app), restarted bluetooth waiting 10 seconds in between, restart mobile, shut down then start my mobile, reinstalled app, logged out then logged into app, made sure there is full charge. Very frustrated now and thinking if I should return product.

Followed instructions to set up device from the app.. it was searching for Versa, then says "Found it!" and "Connecting..." Thereafter, it took quite long in that state... and a message will pop up for "try again" and thereafter, after another "Found it!", another one giving two options "to restart bluetooth or cancel" and pressing Restart Bluetooth will give "connection time out".Tried it like 10 times or more... It's the step just before the 4 digit code appears on the watch, I just set up Iconic for my wife and it works well.

Hi there @SunsetRunner, good to see you around in the Fitbit Community! I was reading your post that you are not able to pair back your Versa after the factory reset, being unable to reach the step to enter the passcode.

Thank you for letting me know the steps you have tried on your own to address this issue. From this point, I would recommend to do the following with your Fitbit app. This will depend if you are on Android or iOS.

If you are on iOS just log out and restart your phone and log back in.

If you are using Android, log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

Once you have done that, try the steps to set up your tracker with your existing account. If the issue continue, try the troubleshooting steps of the following article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

As a matter of test I'm wondering if you are able to try with a different phone? Note that the tracker will pair to your account and not the phone. So if you are able to pair your Versa with a different mobile device, you can log in to your phone and the tracker will be paired there too.

Let me know if this resolve the issue. Catch you later!

I had the same issue when I did a factory reset.  I also had to go into my bluetooth settings and "forget" any Versa devices I had in there.  Once I did that, I was able to re-recognize it in the Fitbit app.

I had the same problem except only specific days was synced. Sleep, exercise and resting HR wasn't tracked, other metrics were tracked. I had to stop and restarted the watch after following Cruzer_8's steps. Thanks

I too was having an issue with bluetooth pairing after a factory reset. I tried multiple "fixes", but what worked was commanding my phones bluetooth to "forget" the versa.
