Factory settings

My versa has not recording my daily footsteps on my phone for the last two days. I tried syncing it several times but it still recorded my steps as zero on the phone although it has been counting on the watch itself. As a result, I decided to start al over again and I chose the option to take my versa to clear the data and return tofactory settings.  Now all I see on the versa screen is a big red X and a message that says "data not cleared. Sync and try again". I have been syncing several times a day and the red x and message remain on the watch screen. I have switched both my phone and watch off and on several times to see if it will but still the scree remains unchaged. Please help. I do not know what else to do.

Hi, after the factory reset, did you setup your Versa all over again with the Fitbit app on your phone? After a FR, the Versa is brought back to the state as if it was still in the factory and never has been bought and setup. See this article regarding factory resetting and setting it up after that, good luck!

If you do a factory reset will the info in the app remain?  Or will it start over?  It seems silly to have to do this, as the watch had tracking info built in.  Will this be fixed?  Or will we have to do factory resets every day?

I never had to do a FR myself (lucky me), but AFAIK the data within the Fitbit app are stored on the Fitbit server, so all you have lost are the data on your Versa.

I managed to sort my problem out. I contacted customer service and got
these instructions :
1.remove versa from app and Bluetooth on your phone
2. Unistall app from phone
3. Reboot phone
4. Re-install app
5. Set up versa again

YAY. I am so happy. 😁😁😁😁

I got help from customer care center and my versa is back online. Hooray! They gave me these instructions :

1.remove versa phone app and Bluetooth on your phone

2. Unistall app

3. Reboot phone

4. Re-install app

5. Set up versa again
