So I was laid down relaxing for a few hours and I check my Fitbit which said my heart rate was in the cardio zone (1560 bpm) and had been for hours but I was not exercising at all. I reset the Fitbit and my heart rate went back down to normal (around 70-80). Is this a one off or could a lot of my readings be inaccurate?

This is an issue for me as well - and for the second time in as many years!
Last spring, my Versa started registering absurdly high heart rates out of the blue (160bpm while sleeping, for example), which also meant I wasn’t getting my sleep data. This wasn’t associated with a firmware update - just started happening one morning.
It was also registering ~85bpm with the tracker OFF MY WRIST, laying on a table. The battery was also draining faster than usual (understandable, given the extra-high bpm it was detecting!).
i contacted Fitbit, and since my tracker was still under warranty, they sent me a new one.
now, lo and behold, almost exactly a year later, the new one is doing the same thing.
this leads me to believe it’s a hardware issue - if the HR monitor fritzes out after a year of constant use...
I have to say, I’m inclined to switch over to an Apple Watch at this point - after YEARS of Fitbit use (lost count of how many models I’ve had over the years). I doubt they’lol replace this Versa for free like ty did the last one, because I’m now outside the original warranty window for the original Versa I bought.
But do try to get a hold of someone at Fitbit to see if they’ll send you a replacement - at least that will buy you a year with it!
