False heart rate spike under Activities

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've noticed that when an activity (walking or hiking so far) is recorded (whether automatically or manually started) there will sometimes be a high heart rate reading somewhere on the activity's heart rate chart. But when I look at the regular heart rate chart for that day, that heart rate reading is not there. For instance, a hike I did showed a spike up to 160, but the 24 hr chart only showed a high of 119. Is anyone else getting this, or know why it's happening? I synch to a Samsung tablet.

@GEOHIST33 I just noticed the same thing myself today. Here's a couple of screenshots. The workout shows I had 161 heart rate at one point but the second screenshot shows that my max heart rate was only 145.

Hi,

I get the same error on my Versa 2, only after the latest firmwear update (the one with 21 last digits).

Spikes of 172, 185 bpm during activities. While on threadmill, I double checked the Hr measured by it and it showed 144. So, it is an error of HR reading. They don't show up in the daily graph also, as you mentioned.

I must add, I did not have this error prior to the last update.

Any feed back about fixing is welcome :-).

Thanks.

Thanks for your comments on this. I'm already getting into the habit of disregarding the "spikes" I see under an exercise activity.

Also, I must add that the no of Peak Minutes is also wrong in Activity and Daily Reports because of these high hr reading spikes.
