Faulty Versa after using in water

Hi there, my husband recently bought me a Fitbit versa for my birthday. I have used it everyday & have loved it until the weekend I used it in water (no more than a metre under) I noticed after the screen had gone black. I tried to charge it thinking maybe it’s that but it still hasn’t come on?

Hi, did you dry your Versa thoroughly after the swim, including the band? Water resistant is something else than waterproof. You can try to put your Versa in a bowl of dry rice and see if that works, otherwise I would contact Customer Support cause you might be suffering from water damage. Do you see any condense behind the screen?

The versa is rated as swim proof. I swim and shower with mine all the time with no issue. If you think water damage may be the problem, then you'll likely have to put in a warranty claim.
