Feature suggestion: Satellite view in GPS activity map

Is there any way to enable satellite view for activity maps?

I can only switch between terrain and roadmap (only in web browser, in app these options are not even available).

If this feature is not available, the question is why? Please, add satellite view option, it's more useful than roadmap in most cases.

So, still nothing for the satellite map... I don't know why don't you guys include such an easy and useful option.

Definitely going back to Polar, much more complete and intuitive service.

The Garmin app is so superior to the Fitbit app. How can you not have a satellite map view?

Can you please explain why this feature hasn't been added?

It has been suggested for years and is a standard feature on many other apps.

The map is absolutely useless for hiking - I zoom in and just see green. I just cannot fathom how a 'premium' service won't add this feature.

It's low hanging fruit - come on!
