Feedback about Fitbit Versa

Could anyone please tell me whether they have the same problems as I do.  Purchased the Versa as soon as it was released in the UK and the problems just keeping coming.

Steps - so sensitive. Tracks even when driving.

Syncing - doesn’t sync exercise. Doesn’t whether I’ve started it on the watch or I’ve expected it automatically detect the exercise.

Ive had several Fitbit’s and this is by far the worst.  Do I stick with it with the fact it’s a new release in mind and there will be updates or do I attempt to return?

Same here, I just had my versa replaced again. I unfortunately have a 2 year warranty and then I’m done, hopefully by then the new Apple watch will be out. The Ionic, Versa absolute 💩, stick with the Blaze if you have one!!!

The first Fitbit I had is surge then change it to Alta but it’s too small for me to read I gave it to my sister and tried the charge 3 and I ended up giving the my husband and got the versa bcz it’s very convenient to me I only have 1 year warranty and they already replaced it after 4-6 months use then I had the same problem again. So far Fitbit support was helping me the heart monitor is back but not the sleep monitor which is one of important to me cuz I had problem of sleeping. I was looking for Apple Watch the newest still has no sleep monitor

thanks for your comment knowing that we both have the same problem

There are some serious problems with the Ionic and Versa. I have both as I exercise and swim 6 days a week and eventually after 3-4 months, one will go bad. I love Fitbit but their products are not reliable. After the warranty is up I am going to go Apple!

But the Fitbit support is very helpful they’re always there to walk you through. They responded me for a couple of hours when I found out that heart and sleep monitor wasn’t working the heart monitor was back but not the sleep monitor still waiting for the response

Which lasted 2 days and the Versa went back to doing hater  The service people are ‘seeming’ very helpful.  However, their hands are tied by what they are ALLOWED and NOT allowed to authorize in the way of replacements, refunds, etc.  I have had issues with my Versa since 12/26/2018.  They have sent four replacement “clock faces” only.  One minute I am in Italy, the next Canada.  I personally could not EVER sync all four Versa’s to any device as the error kept stating that the Versa is not compatible with my wi-fi/internet provider.  CHARTER/SPECTRUM.  Okay, I am thinking they are one of the largest (and I am not saying better, by any means) cable, internet, etc. providers.  My Fitbit charge 2 worked awesome.  It is now 3/14/2019 and even though my Versa still won’t sync, maintain consistent steps, language., Fitbit will not refund my money.  I am so let down by all that I have gone through.  And, BTW, I took the Versa, purchased through Fitbit.com, to Best Buy.  They spent three (3) hours to finally sync the watch to my phone.

I know how frustrating it is, when the warranty is up I am buying an Apple Watch. FitBit’s hardware is horrible, I’ve been a faithful fan, but no more!

Guess I put up with the 2 unreliable features of my Versa (Christmas Present 2018), because the other features are good - and I've better things to do than trying to chase Fitbit.

2 consistent problems:

1) Walking fast (treadmill or free) always shows heart rate 20 beats/min faster than more accurate methods. Trainer checked my pulse and even put his own heart rate monitor on my arm - saw the inconsistency. I've a low 49 resting pulse.

2) Sleep monitoring intermittently goes AWOL.

Tried all the workarounds/fixes on the community blog. Tried changing wrists or pushing it up my arm harder. Ensured the wrist and light outlets are clean.

Resting heart rate, slow movement heart rate, stride, stride count, miles, floors climbed seem accurate.

Addition (June 8 2019):

I've slowly come to the conclusion (& been very rewarded with a calm balanced view of life) that trying to get something past 90% perfection is folly - a flaw in our psyche, that nags at us - unless we give the 10% away. To me detailing a car is rewarding for 60 seconds - then turns negative as the day goes on

I've had to get my versa replaced 5 times now, the ionic i replaced once. I love the versa, but it seems to have major quality problems. How is yours doing?

So I’m crazy, I have both Ionic and Versa, because one inevitably stops working and I exercise every day. I have returned the versa 4 times and the ionic 3 times.

Customer service when I call, makes it seem like it’s my fault these badly made watches stop working.

I’m done, I have ordered an Apple Watch.

FITBIT does not recognize loyalty!!

I second that, both my ionic and versa had to be sent back to Fitbit, using my Blaze, never had a problem with it. Such a shame!

Did they charge you to replace it? what did you have to do to get it replaced? I'm having trouble with mine and also going to need it replaced I am still under warranty. I wasn't exactly sure what that covered though or how it works.

What did you have to do to get it replaced?

Call Fitbit, they will do everything they can to get it working and if they can’t, they will allow you to send the Pebble back, once they get it they will send a replacement. You have to be within the warranty, however.
