I have gone through 2 Fitbit Versas. The shelf life of this watch seems to be 2 to 3 months before it starts acting up. The heart rate stops reading accurately. It begins wildly overestimating your heart's BPM during light activity like sitting. No activity recorded (of course because you're just sitting) but your heart rate will register in the cardio or peak zone. Having this one inaccurate reading causes a cascade effect... Your calories burned are wildly inaccurate, sleep data off... Two Versas in the span of 6 months, same issue. Apparently Fitbit techs are aware of the problem. Months later they still have no workable solution. I had to badger Fitbit customer service to honor their company warranty and replace my watch the first go round. Now I'm just disgusted with it. Chalk it up to loss. Heed the warning and save youself some aggravation.

I have had my Versa for 9 months and when I run it continually shows my heart rate inaccurately high. I compare it to my chest monitor which is accurate. Fitbit should take accountability for a faulty product

I have had a Versa for 6 months and everything is haywire. The LEDs on the back no longer work after 6 months. Therefore, no heart rate monitoring. It says my resting rate is as if I was running when it did work. It wipes my active minutes out to zero and my calorie burn in the middle of the day. Nice. The battery no longer stays charged for more than 12 hours. This is my third in less than 3 years. This is pretty much gone after 6 months. I think i will get an apple watch.

@NellyG wrote:I am not disputing your experience with your Versa/s. But it is not the whole story and I think your claim the Versa is trash is wrong. I have had mine since they came out and have had absolutely no problems. It is has great Heart Rate sensing both at restand when working hard, and I would rate it as my most accurate tracker over all the different things that it does, along with the Ionic. I am really impressed with mine.

Yes! This product is junk and the company knows it !!
This watch was a gift and wpuld be great if it worked!! Poor quality after just 8 months of use it stopped working. Tech support sends a canned rresponse to troubleshoot problems and after exhausting all of what was recommended my watch still would not synch or keep accurate time. Fitbit dies not stand behind their products Do not buy if yuu are serious about fitness

Fitbit used to stand behind their product and had good customer support. I called three times in the last week and the customer service group is in Nicaragua and just give canned answers and says the broken heart rate monitor activity battery problems is an inconvenience, it's not an inconvenience its broken and doesn't work and it's still under warranty

The app stopped workng yesterday .. it wont synch. I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 and no trouble w other apps I've been using it for a few months
Just out of the blue.Fitbit won't synch
They tried to tell me my problem is the phone not them .(argh) no attempts to troubleshoot. They saw my version and said "sorry .yiur phone is too new". They sent me links for self help but several of those went to a Salesforce login page. I don't have Salesforce on my phone. !! Even their links are worthless. Yikes!!
the watch is useless it wont keep time and needs to synch to be accurate.

Do not buy the Versa 2!!!! ....it still wont connect like the Versa save $300 not worth it ...I had mine 1 day and wouldn't stay Synced ...returned it to the store I purchased it from the next day! My charge 2 has no issues connected back up right away. So much for smart watch...

I actually think my Versa is pretty good, but then again I use it mostly for steps - heart rate, calories burned, etc, I don't really pay attention to. I do agree that heart rate can be inaccurate. When I go for a 4 mile jog, my heart rate gets up to about 175 max if I sprint at the end. But when I run up 10 flights of stairs, and my heart feels like it will jump out of my chest, my max heart rate is 135! I lost count on how many Fitbits I've had. I WILL QUIT fitbit at soon as I find another manufacturer with a comparable community. I hope the company is sold and new ownership will make better product!

Hi, I fully agree with @NellyG. This is now my fifth Versa (see my signature) and also never had any problems with them, nor needed Customer Support. Yes, sometimes HR is not accurate, but a restart fixes it always. Even your Smartphone needs a restart once and a while to keep functioning well. Regards kuzibri

Perhaps that worked for you but not for me, now my watch is completely dead. I tried factory restarts many times and didn't work. Sometimes you just get a lemon.

Agreed, I'm on my third Versa. When you are sending out defective product to replace defective product, there is something seriously wrong there. Either fix the issue, or give people their money back. It's clear they don't intend to fix anything and are not offering our money back. I spent almost 300.00 on my watch as it is a special edition Versa. Now once my warranty is out I have to buy a new watch? That is BS. This is really bad business. Treating customers this way will bite them - maybe not right away but eventually they will feel it. For those of you whose Versa is working great....it's really only a matter of time. Just visit the threads Versa won't turn on or Versa Blank Screen or Versa Black Screen and sift thru the thousands of people who are having the exact same problem. Whatever you do - do not get even a drop of water on it. This will end it's life almost certainly despite it's claim of being water resistant to 500 meters.

It's not a lemon, it's a defective product across the board.

Hi, I understand your frustration, but I disagree with you for this reason:
Communities like this are a blessing for users of these products with problems, This is as obvious as can be as we can read everyday. The downside is that satisfied users are not posting here to tell how glad they are with their product. I'm convinced there are a lot more satisfied customers with the Fitbit products than the dissatisfied ones. As stated before, I own now my 5th Fitbit and never had any serious problems with them I was not able to solve myself and never needed Customer Support for any of the in my signature mentioned devices. Regards kuzibri
