When I saw that Fitbit had added in its most recent update a new "mindfulness" tracker I was quite impressed, and was looking forward to giving it a try.
But it seems the only way I can log mindfulness activities is to follow either a two-minute or five-minute guided meditation provided by Fitbit.
This is ridiculous. I'm sure I'm far from alone in already having my own perfectly adequate mindfulness routine before Fitbit decided to come along and "brand" mindfulness as part of its app. People don't go for a "Fitbit walk" or a "Fitbit Interval Run", with guided audio telling them to put one foot in front of the other. They're allowed to customize the settings and log their physical fitness activity flexibly in the app and wearable. So it's mindboggling that Fitbit is presuming that's not the case with mental fitness, or that its thousands of healthy users would be completely oblivious to meditation were it not for the Fitbit app.
Please fix this, or give me a way to remove from my screen this otherwise pointless "feature" that tells me I'm not being mindful when I am, and am just prevented from logging it in the app by Fitbit.

Hello @velw, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and personal experience with the Mindfulness feature of the Fitbit app, I understand your situation and how frustrating this matter can be for you. I'd like to let you know that we are always striving to improve the Fitbit experience with our products and services, therefore, the feedback that's shared here in the Community Forums is always appreciated and really helpful for us to evaluate our procedures and make sure that we are delivering what our users want and need. I personally find very helpful for the meditation session to be guided and I'm sure that other users experience the same, however, other users like you prefer the session to not be guided.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
