Feedback about Versa - My experience

I bought my Versa about May 21, 2019.  By March 2020, I started having problems and tried working with the help staff.  They finally gave me a replacement at the end of April.  It lasted one week.  They sent me a Versa II next.  I received it about May 7.  It worked well until yesterday.  I charged it the night before, but it was dead in the morning.  I charged it up again, but it was dead this morning.  I called at 5:30 a.m.  They told me to charge it to 100% and periodically sync it until it dropped to 0% and then charge it to 100% before calling back.  Called back and was told the problem is the battery, but since it's not under warranty, I can only get a discount.  (The battery is built in so that it cannot be replaced.)  I asked if I could talk to a supervisor to appeal that decision.  I was told that I would have to name the person I wanted to talk to!!!!!  I asked to talk to someone in the warranty department.  No help.  I give up!

It seem that when a product has been a problem for months and the second replacement only lasts about ten weeks, something could be done.  I plan to do a review for Kohl's and also contact the Better Business Bureau.  I used to recommend Fitbit to others.  Since March, I've been telling people who want to buy one, to read the community pages to see what owners have to say about Fitbit products

Unfortunately there is nothing more that I can do with Fitbit Assistance.  The replacements that I was sent were worthless, with one lasting a week and one lasting ten weeks.  All I can do is recommend that all of these people on these pages who have continuous problems warn others about the problems they are having with the product.  It is obvious that there is a problem with the product when almost every heading is about syncing or battery problems.  The company seems to deal with it by hiding behind the warranty so that the customer is off their back when the year is up.  The sad part is that I love my watch, but I would not purchase another one until the problems are fixed.

I share your frustration. I loved my versa (purchased in January 2019)..,,so much so that I bought my mum the versa lite in Octobet 2019. But, in November 2019 my versa stopped working (failing to sync with app, not keeping accurate time, not counting floors, then the screen went blank!).

Fitbit honoured the 1 year guarantee by giving me a ‘replacement’ (not a brand new one though - NOTE the use of ‘replacement’ as it was a device only wrapped in bubble wrap envelope posted to me. No box, no strap or cables etc).

The replacement worked almost perfectly (swimming laps were counted inaccurately), then after wearing it for 9 months the time is inaccurate, connection to app is hit & miss (I have to turn my Bluetooth on phone on & off to re-connect), earphones won’t pair, exercise not always logging automatically, and floors have never been counted accurately.

Am I frustrated?! Yes! Will I buy from Fitbit again? Never! Will I recommend Fitbit devices?? Nope 👎 I shall warn others NOT to waste their money! It seems these devices are made to fail. Poor, poor show Fitbit!
