Feedback about Versa - My experience

Hi All

Just wanted to share my experience with fitbit Versa.

I bought the fitbit versa the special edition in Oct,2019 by paying 199 USD And it had  many problems like synch up up with phone etc. And they had fixed in updated version of fitbit app.

But suddenly in June 2020, the watch didn't get charged and not turning on.I checked with new charger,still no result.

So i contacted fitbit support to check if any known issues with the watch, but unfortunately it was not helpful .And the team is not ready to replace the watch due to software problem as it is 1 year old. And they were ready to give me  40% discount voucher for versa lite(lower edition) watch which even i get with the same price from Amazon or other shopping sites.

 

So this was very disappointing for me paying 200$ for a watch and it doesn't last for a year.

So think before buying the fitbit product.

I know your policy, but Fitbit knows their products are defective and I hope at some point someone challenges Fitbit legally. The versa’s obviously have an issue that Fitbit knows about and refuses to stand behind their products.

Fitbit needs to take a lesson from Apple and offer to fix products fir a fee. A company that believes in their product.

If you think I will spend another $200 for a product to die in 13 months. I have done it before and I will not anymore.

I will no longer support a company that makes products that all last less than 2 years and wants people to throw them into the landfill. Fitbit is very irresponsible to the environment. I am done with Fitbit.

I read about your policies, but it's not worth for a branded product. You are not taking care of your customers well. I won't buy Fitbit product anymore after having this experience.

My 7 month old versa 2 is now essentially a brick through no fault of my own 

I have a case open i’m awaiting hearing from support - they advise me it could be longer than 7 days that is shocking 

I require a tracker ASAP not next year 

If I had the choice I would happily accept a refund and buy another brand of watch
