OK, I give up. After my Surge died due to a bad battery and poor performance, I hoped the Versa would be better. Now on my second Versa, here is my feedback:
- Steps are about 30 percent less than the Fitbit One.
- Sleep time is worse. I sleep about 8 hours a day. Dashboard shows I sleep about four to five.
- Treadmill at 2 mph for 25 mins is over 2000 steps. Versa displays ZERO? I have not met my 5000 daily steps since the Fitbit One. I even had to put the Surge in my pocket. Oh, Versa also works in the pocket.
- Finally, the straw that breaks it all: The Versa clock now reads about 1 ¾ hours slow. This happened after 2AM today
- Attaching the watchband is a touch and go thing. Too Tight a fit.
- Oh, also the charger has a loose wire near the USB end.
- Finally, heartrate is about 30 to 40 beats too high, compared to a fingertip clamp-on device at the doctor’s office.
Your best product was the Fitbit One. My wife had to throw out her first Fitbit watch, a bad Band just cracked apart.
I am going back to the Fitbit One, unless you know what to do about the time being wrong.

My Fitbit Versa was purchased Sep 12, 2018 and has been replaced once before.
Personally, I think 90% of my problems stem from the software. After wearing Fitbit One for years, I was spoiled by it's accuracy and straight forward approach to collection of info. The Versa obviously has some weird programming, especially for the treatment of sleep time. All you need to do is view my sleep history to understand what is at fault. Even my Surge was better. Why pick up time spent sitting as sleep time in the afternoon? Then, link it to a poorly annotated sleep time from the night for 15 hrs of sleep. Or 3 hours at night which I cannot seem any rhyme or reason for when I sleep 8 hours, with a couple breaks for the toilet.....
Step count? What could be simpler? The Versa does not count steps with nighttime trips to the toilet. I mean it is ZERO. How can that be? A round trip to the toilet is 50 steps. I also get ZERO from 24 minutes on a treadmill. I put it in my pocket for accurate steps. My wife has the same step count problems with her Alta HR. She now wears my old fitbit One. She goes shopping with her ALTA and walks for hours and comes home with a days worth of steps under 3000.
Don't get me started on heart rate. It is just plain wrong versus clamp on finger tip devices, but Fitbit one does not do this. So, I can't compare squawk.
I will keep the Versa as that's the best you can do. BUT, give these comments to your programmers so a fix can be understood by them. I cannot believe I am the only one with these problems.
I cannot comment on your fix as I am out of the 45 day warranty and already went that route.
PS My fitbit Surge which was poorly performing (Thus the Versa) finally died and cannot keep a charge for more than a few hours. That's after 2 years.
