After 3 years, my Fitbit Charge 2 died. Fitbit offered me a 25% discount for a new Fitbit, and I was thinking (maybe) of buying a Versa 2.
Not any more.
Not after all these reviews and comments about the poor reliability of the Versa 2!
My 10-year-old Casio G-force is looking better and better. I'll just have to figure out how to survive without knowing my heart rate throughout the day, or how much I've walked.

Just for what it is worth, I've owned the Versa 2 since November 2019 and have yet to have any issues at all. If you can pick it up on sale ($149 is what I paid) it is a fantastic purchase. I use an iPhone XR currently and was using an iPhone 7 when I purchased the Versa 2. I have not had any issues using it on either phone. It is a great great watch. I also own an Apple Watch Series 5 that I wear too, but I always find myself missing the Versa 2 and end up going back to it. If Fitbit were ever to make a deal with Apple to allow quick replies, I think I would sell my Apple Watch and use the Versa 2 exclusively. Lack of quick replies is the only thing I miss when using my Versa 2. I wish you luck with what ever you decide.

Lizzy,
I wound up getting my daughter's Charge 2 (and my ex's Charge 2 as a backup). My daughter hardly used hers and my ex, well, let's just say that the box still had the plastic wrapping on it.
Not as fancy as a Versa 2 upgrade, but a good, working solution. And I get to stay in the Fitbot "ecosystem," which is a definite plus!

I wouldn’t get a versa 2 - I have had mine since the end of January it’s now essentially a brick and useless (it’s had a few issues but always managed to sort them) however now I have the black screen of death thought no fault of my own and customer support are apparently contacting me to sort my case.
could take longer than 7 days apparently absolute farce - I need a fitness tracker ASAP not next year. Genuinely wish I had got a Apple Watch and could get my money back on this versa 2
talking to people I know and reading through these forums seems a common issue
