I had been using competitors' products for quite a while, jumped on the Versa bandwagon for its functionality (specifically, Sleep tracking and the SpO2 future).
The experience with fitbit was really rough so far, first setup forced me to update the firmware, but I was on Bluetooth, waited 4 hours, and was greeted with a "update failed".
Read some forum threads, seeing others having the same issue, then try with Wi-Fi.
Finished updating after more than 30 minutes, but the HR monitor doesn't work at all, the LED flashes green, but nothing appears after wearing for a few minutes.
Try factory reset, pair again, and it needs updating again, and after update, the apps pop-up connection lost, and after swiping through the tour screens, it pairs again and the HR finally work, thank god that it finally works, had spent 6 hours just to set this thing up.
I have never had this kind of setup problems with my other health tracking products.
As an experienced embedded system engineer, I would like to know how you could release such a software that is a pain just to setup ?
Really frustrating, you should have let the user choose whether to update your firmware.
