Feedback from swimmer to Versa 2

I wish I had reviewed the community before replacing my Versa 1 (the screen fell off).  I assumed an upgraded model would at least have the same functionality, especially since it advertises itself as a swimming-friendly watch.  I have had two Versa 2s over the last two weeks - the first had a crack and blemish under the screen.  I used both Myswimpro and the native swimming app to log my swims.  I had counted on the Fitbit swim app to log my laps while swimming as I do 3000-4500 yards daily.  I was surprised to see that they had stripped the lap counting and distance display from the app and now expect you to review it on the phone app.  Has anyone at Fitbit actually swam laps before?  What is the point of a swim app just being an expensive stopwatch.  I don't keep my phone at poolside, nor does anyone I swim with.  I'm surprised that Fitbit appears to have ghosted everyone on this issue and tried to shunt negative feedback over to the useless 'enhancement request' forum.  Is this Google's fault or just part of the downward curve of Fitbit customer service over the last few years?

@robertovernoy It's nice to see you on the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with your Versa 2.

Your feedback and comments are appreciated, we're always striving to improve our watches and trackers. We always welcome feedback and that's why we have our Feature Suggestion board, these ideas are reviewed by our team and the status will change based in Fitbit's plans.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
