Find my phone app isn't working on my Versa 3 unless the Fitbit app is open

I did a factory reset on my Android phone. Before that, the "Find my phone" app on my Fitbit Versa 3 worked totally fine, loved the app and used it all the time to find my phone. Now, however, it doesn't ring if the app is not open on my phone, screen on, and all that, which makes the app basically useless. 

If i turn off the screen of my phone and try to use the Find my Phone app, it makes no sound and then, maybe, sometimes it will make a tiny sound for a fraction of a second and that's all. 

Tried checking all the app permissions - Fitbit is allowed to run in the background. Deleted the app, restarted my phone, and basically tried everything i read in the forums here about that problem. 

How do i solve this?!?????

and problem 2: suddenly my Messenger texts show no text, only the name of the person who sent me the message and it says sth like "1 message", with the second notification it says "2 messages" etc. But no actual text. WhatsApp shows the text, but permissions are the same for both apps.

Hi @adimitrova - it may partly be due to the syncing issues the new V4 Fitbit App has, but also how the new Android firmware works.

Check the lock screen notification settings, allow notifications without privacy [if that is an option on your phone]. Having factory reset the phone you have all the default settings back which can also be different if there is a version change as well.
