Find my phone app won't work on my Versa 3

My Versa 3 can find my phone but with notifications turned all the way up and background app permissions given phone won't properly ring while fitbit app is running in background. I get one hard to catch high pitched beep intermittently and not the full ring

Hi there, @NestDani. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post and for checking those settings on your phone before reaching out.

Keep in mind the following requirements in order for the Find Phone app to work properly:

  • Your smartwatch must be connected (“paired”) to the phone you want to locate.
  • Your phone must have Bluetooth turned on and be within 30 feet (10m) of your Fitbit device.
  • The Fitbit app must be running in the background on your phone (something you already checked).
  • Your phone must be turned on.

To find your phone:

  • Open the Find Phone app on your smartwatch.
  • Tap Find Phone. Your phone rings loudly.
  • When you locate your phone, tap Cancel to end the ringtone.

If the issue persists, see How do I troubleshoot apps on my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

Hi,

I've followed the troubleshooting apps instructions and app has full permission.

Watch is connected and paired with phone and is connecting with phone to find phone. Issue is that the phone will not properly make the sound it is meant to make and I cannot find it due to the quiet and intermittent beeping if the Fitbit app is only running in background.

Just wondering if you ever got a solution?

It's one of my favourite features of my verses and now it's not working with my new oppo phone

Hi @Jjjjj57  - an oppo may be a bit special and require a certain setup but a way to check is to install SimpleCheckUp app on the watch.

Then logout of the app and restart both watch and phone.

Login again and sync.

Use the app on the watch  to check if the watch is connecting properly and when it last synced and it will do find the phone (if it's working) anytime you want to use find the phone.

If it says it's not connecting you will know why find the phone won't work.

Same question as NestDani.  I've gone thru all the tutorials, setting and resetting and still won't find my phone.  Giving up, returning and getting an Apple.  🙂
