Fitbit Update: 1/25/2020

Hi everyone,

We're aware of an issue with firmware updates failing for Versa Smartwatches and Ionic. For example, the firmware update process gets to 98% complete, then restarts, only to reach 98% and start again.

We assure you our teams are currently investigating the root cause and are working on a resolution.

Your patience is greatly appreciated and we'll update this thread when a fix is implemented.

I bought 2 at the same time. I fought with the 1st one for over a day. I
decided to try the 2nd one, and it works perfectly. No idea what is
different. I'm returning the 1 that doesn't work.

My versa 2 is not syncing. I have disconnected the device from the app and reconnected it. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. It will sync during the pairing process but not again. I cant use any of the other "wonderful" features I bought the versa for. Please help.

I have no idea how it fixed, the Fitbit customer service emailed me back asking what kind of phone I had and what update it has, the next minute my Versa picked up Bluetooth and updated the software.

Get in touch with the customer service people, I don’t know what they did, but I told them I was having problems, they asked what model phone I had and the updates it has and then it somehow worked after 24hours of trying!

Same issue I'm having! So frustrating to jump through all the hoops Fitbit support is having me do. Why can't they just send us updated replacements? I'm about to shop elsewhere.

This is not resolved and now my watch won't sync at all.

Hello,

I contacted technical support to help me solve my problem with the incomplete installation process for my newly unpacked watch Versa (1).

Unfortunately, in my case FITBIT TEAM could not find a solution to solve the problem and therefore I have the last option to return the watch😞😞

Thank you all from FITBIT TEAM who dealt with request number # 34202554

If you need to check if your watch is on the newest firmware, please take a look inside this help article that lists out all the firmware releases: What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update?
