I updated my Versa 2 to firmware update 72.1.19 which caused the heart rate monitor to stop working.
I contacted support and the only resolution that they offered was to give me a 35% discount to buy a new Fitbit.
I personally find that very insulting for them to introduce a bug and then ask me to buy a new device instead of fixing it.
Can Fitbit please either
(a) commit to fixing bugs that you introduce in your firmware rather than asking us to buy a new device?
or
(b) provide a way for us to rollback the firmware to an earlier version that does not have the problem?

I forgot to mention in my original post that I did try all of the troubleshooting steps posted in the various forums including
(a) heart rate off, sync, heart rate on, sync
(b) resetting to factory settings
None of these fixed the problem
