Fit bit not updating days of activity

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fit bit is counting and updating everything but my days of weekly exercise.  It showed yesterday I had 33 minutes of activity but it's not showing up as 1 of 5 days.  I tried adding it manually then it doubled my calories burned and my steps? Anyone know how I can add manually without it doubling everything? Reason being is I synch with my Weight Watchers app and I don't need to get double activity points!

You say you had 33 minutes of activity.  I assume that is 33 "active minutes".

'Active minutes' and exercise time are often confused, but different concepts.

Active minutes come by maintaining a certain level of intensity for at least 10 minutes continuously.  I believe they were introduced to meet CDC exercise recommendations as per the following article.

See What are active minutes?

"Exercise" is counted one of 2 ways:

1. Activity is detected by SmartTrack auto-recognition and is continued for at least the minimum time set for that activity, I think 15 minutes initially by default, but adjustable.

2. Manually starting and ending an exercise session from the tracker, no matter what you do for how long.

As for getting active minutes without exercise, one way could be doing an exercise for at least 10 minutes but not long enough to meet the threshold for auto-recognized for that activity - I think that threshold is set at 15 minutes but can be changed by tapping the 'days of exercise' tile, then the gear icon near top right.

Yes it is active minutes of 33 and usually once I have 15 active minutes it tracks as 1 day or activity. My days of activity are still showing nothing.

You could have had 3 eleven minute walks, counting as 33 active minutes but no exercise if you were relying on auto-recognition.

But obviously I can' tell exactly what happened.

You can avoid these situations by using the exercise app, starting and stopping workout manually from the tracker.
