Hi all,
Having recently acquired a Fitbit Versa 2, I have to say I'm quite disappointed in this product.
The watch is advertised as having 'Alexa built-in', but lets be honest it's not, as it depends on you having a constant connection to your smart phone, with the Fitbit App running in the background. That to me is not 'built-in' functionality and is simply acting as a remote control.
The same can be said for Spotify, again just a remote control and not really a Spotify app as such. Don't even get me started on the fact that you can't control Spotify from the watch when exercising or vice versa. I see there is thread opened on this subject already, so I'll leave it at that.
The entire watch is almost useless without a constant connection to your Smartphone, so what's the point of adding a Wi-Fi connection under the settings when it doesn't seem to serve any purpose??
Is it just me or has this product been massively over-stated and Fitbit are guilty of false advertising??
Keen to get peoples thoughts on this.
Cheers,

Hi @mcdona922, I can only react on the Alexa problem, do not use/have experience with Spotify. Regarding Alexa: it only works, for this moment, in certain countries. If you're not living in one of those countries, it does not work yet. See https://www.fitbit.com/voice , scroll down to the bottom of the page and there you will find the countries where Alexa is functional. Hope this helps, regards kuzibri

Now I can finally download Spotify but I agree it's rather disappointing. Isn't offline playback the whole point of this thing? I expected to be able to pick a playlist to download for offline play but alas, all I got was a useless remote control.
