FitBit Versa Lite not registering flights of steps

My wife has just brought me a new Versa Lite as a replacement for my Charge 2 and it is not registering when I go up flights of steps. I have tried to reset it and turn it off and on but to no avail. Everything that has been suggested, I have tried, what can I do please?

Unfortunately, the Versa Lite does not track floors / flights like the Versa or Versa 2 - they left out the necessary sensor
