Fitbit App notifications not working on my Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I receive all other notifications but for some reason NOT the notifications from the Fitbit app. I’d love to see what is said in my weekly challenge chats but they only show on my phone. I have an iPhone so I know quick replies won’t work on messages but I ready they will work on Fitbit. I read the other posts and I’ve done all the steps to get them to show but still nothing!

@Charmander no quick replies will work on your Versa if you have an iPhone. I am not sure I understood correctly. You would like to see the notifications from Fitbit mobile app itself on your Versa? If yes, make sure Notifications for Fitbit mobile app are enabled in your phone's settings. Then, open Fitbit mobile app, go to Notifications and enable Fitbit app notifications there.

Note that devices paired to an iPhone or Windows 10 phone can only respond to Fitbit app notifications.

@Charmander I stand corrected! 😊 You should be able to enable notifications according to the description in my previous post.

I’ve tried all that already. All notification setting are on (just like all the other apps) but no notifications from the Fitbit app come through at all even though they appear on my phone. I will reach out to support directly

New development! I will get notifications on my versa if the Fitbit app is open on on my phone. I don’t want to leave this open all the time though so still a problem

@Charmander have you tried turning off the notifications for Fitbit app in your phone Settings, then rebooting your phone and turning the notifications back ON? Also, please disable and re-enable the notifications for Fitbit app in the Notification settings in the Fitbit app itself. Sync in between toggling off/on.

@Marrrmaduke Yes I have. All other notifications work correctly. Fitbit is the ONLY app notification that will NOT come through unless app is open and running in the background of my phone. Background refresh is ON for FitBit and all notifications are set to ON. All settings are identical to, for example, my SnapChat settings which will always come through regardless if the app is open or closed on my phone.

@Charmander that's what really confuses me. If notifications are set in phone settings and in Fitbit app, it should work. Ughh. Can u post a screenshot of notifications settings in the Fitbit app and phone settings?

@Charmander well, it looks ok to me. The only other advice I can give (which you probably don't want to hear) is to perform a magic trick of removing Versa from bluetooth settings, uninstalling the app, rebooting the phone, installing the app again, rebooting Versa, logging in to the Fitbit app and granting all permissions, and setting up all notifications again... Honestly it should work, unless something is really glitching. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. 😞
