What if I want my data and don't want it to be uploaded to the data farm. I am not a research pig. Is there some way to utilize my data for myself and not fitbit? If no why am I not being paid for being a research pig? Thanks Ya-all

Hi @SunsetRunner ,

I believe you can bypass the data upload. Just uninstall the Fitbit app, and it won't sync to the cloud.

If you do this, you won't be able to view many of the statistics like sleep. And it won't have any history. But if you don't sync, the data doesn't leave the watch.

I'm also assuming you know that most of your web surfing behavior is captured and uploaded to the cloud. If you think Fitbit is the only company collecting data I would recommend you read the privacy policy of Google and Microsoft.

Work out...eat... sleep...repeat!
