Fitbit Update 8/23/18:
Hey, everyone! Just wanted to thank you all for your participation in this thread.
Since the majority of Versa users have successfully updated to OS 2.1.1 (v32.32.10.15) I have decided to close this topic from further comments.
If you still have not updated your Versa to OS 2.1.1, check out this help article for how to update your device. Please complete this update so that you're prepared for the next release.
If you are experiencing an issue with your Versa unrelated to the firmware-up process, I invite you to start a new topic on the Community or find a related topic.
Thanks for all your feedback and contributions on this thread. We're looking forward to bringing you all the next Fitbit OS update!
Fitbit Update 05/11/2018: We have released Fitbit OS 2.1 to 100% of Versa users (Firmware Version: 32.32.10.15).
Hi, everyone!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.1! (Firmware Version: 32.32.10.15)
We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Versa users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Versa users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
WHAT’S NEW
Introducing quick replies. Send customized responses to text messages and messages from select messaging apps with your Fitbit watch. Note that this feature is currently only available on watches paired to an Android phone. For more information, see How do I respond to messages with my Fitbit watch?
WHAT’S FIXED
This release includes other bug fixes and improvements.
Step by step instructions for updating your Versa can be found here.
I recommend updating your Versa over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Versa to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Versa, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

I use Fit Notifications too. Its reliable and the notifications don't disappear as soon as they arrive, which is what the Fitbit notifications do! I never even got to read the notifications after the recent update. The only downside to using Fit Notifications is they don't enable you to use quick reply. I preffered the first version of the Versa software before the recent update! At least you could control the notifications....

My fitbit will not connect to download the firmware - it's perpetually on the "searching for watch" screen. Every now and then it will tell me it's having trouble and offer me to try again or try via wifi/bluetooth (whichever I wasn't already doing)... I've restarted my watch, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted bluetooth, restarted my phone, no matter what I do, my phone will not connect to my watch to download the firmware upgrade. Very frustrating - it's been, like, 4 days.

Interesting, I didn't realize there was a computer app - I don't think my PC has bluetooth capability so I'm not sure whether it would work for me, but I'll give it a shot when I get home tonight! Thanks!

Fit Notifications didn't work for my Galaxy 7. Texts disappeared. But it did have a good installation wizard that Fitbit should use.

Yeesh! That's really annoying, since my watch hasn't synced in 4 days I guess I'll just lose all the data tracked during those days by restoring to factory settings... very annoying, Fitbit!

I've pretty much given up on my Versa... so I now own an $300 watch. Not ever seen one explanation why older fitbits, garmin, apple, Samsung seem to work fine with HR, Sleep, notifications, etc. (at least work far better than the versa/ionic). I'm thinking it's a hardware problem, all the devices that seem to work all use green leds. I think versa should have had two green and one red to improve accuracy. My 2 cents.

I'm seeing some posts mentioning 32.32.10.20. Is there a way to force my Versa to this load? I did a factory reset this morning hoping that would induce an upgrade from 32.32.10.15, but no dice.
I'm thoroughly frustrated with the inaccurate distances recorded in the Bike app. I'm wanting to see if the .20 load provides any improvement. Otherwise, I'm inclined to return the Versa.

fitbit was very clear that replies wouldn't work with iOS ....even prior to release of Versa.
@BuddysMom2 wrote:I think maybe the text reply is only for Android but Fitbit doesn’t tell us that. 🙁

times that replies work on Android 7 and up, and for specific apps?

Not trying to be mean, but realistic expectations need to be set.

I'm read so many different replies that they're all starting to look the same! ☺ Otherwise I love my Versa.

I have Samsung running on 7 and my replies work. I can reject calls too. I heard you can reject and take calls if your android runs on 8.

I'm running android 5.1.1 lollipop , no quick reply text. However I can answer or dismiss calls and my incoming texts are readable on my versa. If I miss a call I have an option to send a text to the missed call.
Go figure. dave
P.S. running the .15 firmware

I have not seen anywhere that it only works on android 7 and up.. and why is the Galaxy S5 listed as one of the phones that IT IS compatible with??
