Hi, everyone! I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.2! (Firmware Version: 32.12.19) At this time, we've released Fitbit OS 2.2 to a small group of Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Versa users.
WHAT'S CHANGED?
Please check out this help article to see what's new in this update.
IS THIS UPDATE AVAILABLE TO ME?
This update has only been released to a small group of Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Versa users. If you have not yet received an update notification and wish to force the update, you can give the watch a FACTORY RESET and then follow steps 1 - 4 below. Please make sure you sync the watch before performing the reset so that all your current data transfer over. Factory resetting your device clears all data from the watch including music, Fitbit Pay information, and apps. Historical Fitbit data will still be available in the Fitbit App.
HOW DO I UPDATE?
Step by step instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here. We recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into trouble updating your Ionic, please follow these steps:
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have questions, please let me know in this thread!

It’s been a week and 2 days and it still says 10% and well now I don’t think the rest of us that didn’t get the update yet will never get it cuz they can’t seem to tell us what day there gonna update the thread with an updated percentage, this waiting is starting to get tiring and I don’t know how much longer i can wait for a simple update and I can’t take this waiting anymore

My Versa is not logging notifications after this latest update. When I swipe down all I see is Nothing new here. You’re all caught up.
10/20/18. As an update, I removed my Versa from the Fitbit app and Bluetooth on my phone. I then setup the Versa as a new device. Notifications are working properly now.

@Marrrmaduke I tried the complete factory reset. Was a challenge as the screen is very difficult to read. The Versa did not default to a previous version, the update required syncing/downloading and iPhone indicates that firmware is 32.12.19. Watch face colors remain inverted, nothing resolved and not possible to rollback firmware to an earlier version. Support indicated that a replacement unit would be sent, so when this arrives will update.

My new Versa is version 32.32.10.15 and is having issuing syncing with my Samsung S8 phone. In order to sync, I must unpair then re-pair my fitbit from and to the phone. After pairing the fitbit will sync only the first time. Does this new firmware version fix syncing issues? If yes, when will it be available to all users, I'm in the Seattle area?

Thanks for the update, @wayneis At least Fitbit offered a replacement.
ETA: @wayneis well my versa stopped syncing entirely. No matter what tricks I did that used to work... So as a final resort I had to delete it from my account and hard reset. I am not sure to which version of OS it resets but it's not .15 or .19. It seems that Fitbit automatically pushes the last stable version when one sets up versa. This time it took me 2 hours (via Bluetooth) to upgrade the OS. 😑 And guess what... Versa still syncs when it feels like it. So... Dear Fitbit how about you release a version of OS that actually works with your own mobile app? 😑

Five months since the last firmware update, and given all the reports of problems with the update process, broken devices after the update, and the lack of communication about what issues were fixed with the new firmware to begin with, seems Fitbit has knocked this one out of... the batter's box.
After moving from Pebble to the Versa, I wrote a long Reddit review of the differences betweem the two devices. I was generally very happy with my Versa at the time, and my review reflected that; I remarked on the music controls being abysmally poorly designed, but was hoping Fitbit would improve this with a firmware update as the watch was still quite new. For months since the last update, I've been waiting and hoping while the bugs and issues have compounded and eroded my satisfaction with the device, and now that an update is finally here, the lack of information makes me skeptical that this is the one that's going to finally make me happy with my watch again.
I haven't gotten the update yet, but for anyone who is successfully updated, is the experience of using your Versa noticeably better? Are steps and sleep tracking still wildly inaccurate? Did they finally support music controls over BLE instead of a separate, secondary Bluetooth connection with the phone? I'm trying to decide if I should write a new review on Reddit and jump ship to a manufacturer that's actually interested in making life better for its users.

Not Good! I did all the updates and did what the support team asked of me and my Versa is still not sending me sound notifications for texts and phone calls. I was told to keep watching for updates and they are sorry that my Versa is not performing in the way I expected it to.
What a crock. Stand behind your products and provide me a new Versa. I have only had this for just over 4 months.
This is unacceptble!

you are not alone!
I keep doing factory resets, nothing is working, it won't update past 52%
