Hi, everyone! I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.2! (Firmware Version: 32.12.19) At this time, we've released Fitbit OS 2.2 to a small group of Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Versa users.
WHAT'S CHANGED?
Please check out this help article to see what's new in this update.
IS THIS UPDATE AVAILABLE TO ME?
This update has only been released to a small group of Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Versa users. If you have not yet received an update notification and wish to force the update, you can give the watch a FACTORY RESET and then follow steps 1 - 4 below. Please make sure you sync the watch before performing the reset so that all your current data transfer over. Factory resetting your device clears all data from the watch including music, Fitbit Pay information, and apps. Historical Fitbit data will still be available in the Fitbit App.
HOW DO I UPDATE?
Step by step instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here. We recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into trouble updating your Ionic, please follow these steps:
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have questions, please let me know in this thread!

Well it’s been a month and 4 days and I still didn’t get the update, what gives

I'm already on my 3rd Versa, so don't want to risk a bad update to ruin this one. Nobody seems to really cover updates to let us know what's going on. What good did it do to announce a new update for the (un)lucky(?) 10% over a month ago, and then to fall silent?

Hi everyone. We don't have any release date for the new Versa firmware. I know many of you wish to have access to it but at this time we can only ask for your patience. Once we have an official date or response we will gladly update this thread.
I'll be around!

Just to remind everyone, you can force the update by doing a factory reset. Yes, this goes poorly for some people, but I did it and it went very smoothly and I'm very happy with the update. The bug with customized exercise stats not saving is fixed. It hasn't crashed since the update, though the crashing was somewhat sporadic. I do suspect the crashing is fixed, though, as battery usage has been very stable and crashing is generally due to memory leak issues.

I did reset, but I regret it because it is amazingly sluggish, but my network is very fast. The updating tracker is already 1 hour and only takes the first step. 😞 1366 minutes left, Fitibit app indicates this. Horrible, shame! I do not have that much time. I want to use the Versa! I'm very angry!
What should I do to make it faster? Help! Help! Help!
I switched to WiFi, a bit (!) Faster. But my WiFi is also very fast...
Ready! Versa Firmware Release (32.12.19).

@Girsch My recommendation would be to wait until all bugs are ironed out and the build is stable.

Will the version number of the revised version be the same as old (Versa Firmware Release (32.12.19))? Only if it's different it would make sense to fix it. On the other hand, when all the bugs are corrected and no new ones are created, it will never come.

For what it's worth for those of you still waiting....you're in good company.....I haven't gotten the update for my Versa or Ionic yet either.

Fixed mine. Put it in a box, shoved it in a drawer.
Bought an Apple iWatch Series 4. Absolutely love it. Works exactly as expected and as a device that costs a few hundred dollars should.

Ok I'd had enough of waiting for this 32.12.19 firmware update. So I unpaired my versa from the fitbit app, and then went into the watch settings scrolled down to About and selected Factory Reset and waited a few minutes until the watch went blank then turned it on and put it on it's charger.
Then went into my phones settings and scrolled to apps, and clicked on the fitbit app, then clicked STORAGE and selected CLEAR DATA.
Then just went back open the fitbit app and go though the usual setup process and waiting for the new firmware to download and install etc.
I luckily didn't have much else to do on Saturday night, so didn't mind all the messing about. Anyway it's all working perfectly so far, and my weather in degrees celsius at last!
The settings look the same as before where you select what units you want to use, no need to change anything, it now just works.

So I read where several have managed to upgrade to the newer software by simply doing a factory reset on their Versa's, with varying amounts of success, but you say there is not yet a release date? What are they downloading to their watches, then?

Hi,
I recently made an app (clockface) for the Versa. After uploading an update, it does not show the current version on download-site. Does this is related to the sdk 2 I setted as target sdk? Maybe our Versa does not have the current fw, included the sdk 2 update? At the moment, my clockface is still private, only for testing purposes and for our own device only. At OS simulator all of my features are working very well, including them were introduced with the latest update, like the behaviour of checking if the clock is on wrist or is not..
So, how can I get the latest version installed on my clock?
Read about doing a hard reset and / or deleting the clocks bindings to the fitbit app..
What do you say what I have to do right now?
Best regards,
Marcus
