Fitbit Update 1/10/19:
Hi all!
Big thanks to everyone for your feedback on the release of Fitbit OS 3.0!
Since the majority of users have now updated to 3.0, I will be closing this thread from further comments to help keep our Community discussions on-topic.
If you are experiencing an issue outside of the firmware update process, I invite you to start a new thread on this forum and we will be happy to assist you there.
Thanks again and happy stepping!
Fitbit Update 12/26:
Hey, everyone! We're aware that some of you may have noticed a fast battery drain on your Versa watches after completing this firmware update. Our team is investigating the root cause of this issue and whether it was caused by this update or other factors are involved.
In the meantime, if you're experiencing this problem please try a restart on the device then consider switching to a Fitbit made clock face! Many 3rd party clockfaces (especially those with animations) are known to use up more battery. If you try this out and are still seeing a fast battery drain, we can connect you with Customer Support for next steps or you can reach out to them and create a case.
We look forward to getting you all back on track!
Fitbit Update 12/22:
We've released Fitbit OS 3.0 out to 100% of users. Please make sure you have the latest version of the Fitbit app (2.84) before downloading the newest firmware.
We're excited for you all to have the newest Fitbit OS, but please let us know if you have any questions about this update. Happy Holidays, everyone!
Hi, everyone!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 3.0! (Firmware Version: 32.33.1.30)
We've started to roll out this update and it's currently out to 20% of Versa users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Versa users can expect to have it soon. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
WHAT'S CHANGED?
Please check out this help article to see what's new in this update.
HOW DO I UPDATE?
Step by step instructions for updating your Versa can be found here. We recommend updating your Versa over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Versa to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into trouble updating your Versa, please follow these steps:
*If anyone isn't seeing the TODAY app after updating, please try the following:
1. Make sure you're running the newest version of the Fitbit app (version 2.84)
2. Connect to Wi-Fi in the Fitbit app, plug your Versa into the charger and let it sit. This will automatically update the Today app.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have questions, please let me know in this thread!

When you click on the Today app in the Fitbit app, what version do you see listed under App Details? I'm seeing version 33.1.30.c, updated on December 19, 2018.

It is 10pm and my battery is at 10%. To recap: Charged it to 100% on 12/23 late at night. Between now and then I jogged twice for 30 mins each. Used assisted gps and blietooth headphones. Have the layers clock face no added apps. Do have notifications on for phone, email, text and messanger. So my battery barely lasts close to 3 days with 2 workouts only. I imagine that if I workout every day I may have to charge the Versa every two days at the least...The shortened battery life started after the update. FitBit please fix it!

Hmm, then maybe I'm having a different problem. When you use Today on the Versa and go into Settings, how many checkboxes do you have? I only see Core Stats, Hourly Steps, and Heart Rate.
I don't see any of the new stats that are supposed to be available in the latest version, as listed here:

I have updated my versa and have noticed the battery drain. It went from 100% to 21% overnight. In fact, it has been performing like this for about 4 days now and at some stage had even stopped reading my heart rate (until I did the update). After the update it reads my heart rate erratically, I was sitting having breakfast and it recorded a heart rate of 177pbm. Can you please suggest how I deal with this?

@JoeSchwartz"Hmm, then maybe I'm having a different problem. When you use Today on the Versa and go into Settings, how many checkboxes do you have?" --- No, it's just that it hasn't updated to the watch yet. See post by Kuzibri one page back for solution. It has been answered a million times by now.
@Salcy"Used assisted gps and blietooth headphones. .... So my battery barely lasts close to 3 days with 2 workouts only. " That sounds quite normal to me, bluetooth headphones drain the battery, and while 1hr is not much it eats certainly 1/2 a day from the total battery time. I haven't checked exactly but I would say it is normal. Normal battery time is 3.5days.

My Fitbit is fully charged, received the update, but is now not turning on at all. I have tried the reset, but nothing is happening.

@kcooper11if it is not turning on, how do you know it is fully charged and has updated to the last version successfully? Do you see this via the mobile app? Is the tracker still syncing?
It seems your issue is the same as reported by others in this or other threads that the tracker (display) has 'died' after the firmware upgrade. You have to contact customer service.

Is there a way to undo the update? My Versa is turning off all the time. And the battery is draining.

My update had some issues, but it finally installed. But my fitbit analog clock face disappeared and I can't find it in the fitbit labs. My clock had stats inside the face and you can change colors. Does anyone know where I can find it? And why would an update wipe out my default clock. This is very disappointing.

@Fbuonvino Hi there! Can you provide a little bit more information regarding your experience with heart rate after the firmware update? For example, what exercises/activities were you doing when you noticed the higher percentage? What time of the day are you seeing the increase? The more information we have, the more we can understand the issue and help out!
Feel free to private message me if you feel uncomfortable sharing in this thread. Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Aless, I am also having the battery issues and have even switched to a fitbit watch face in the hopes of making it better. Before the update I was getting around 5 tea out of a charge, now I am to get 2.5 which is less than ideal.
