Fitbit Update 1/10/19:
Hi all!
Big thanks to everyone for your feedback on the release of Fitbit OS 3.0!
Since the majority of users have now updated to 3.0, I will be closing this thread from further comments to help keep our Community discussions on-topic.
If you are experiencing an issue outside of the firmware update process, I invite you to start a new thread on this forum and we will be happy to assist you there.
Thanks again and happy stepping!
Fitbit Update 12/26:
Hey, everyone! We're aware that some of you may have noticed a fast battery drain on your Versa watches after completing this firmware update. Our team is investigating the root cause of this issue and whether it was caused by this update or other factors are involved.
In the meantime, if you're experiencing this problem please try a restart on the device then consider switching to a Fitbit made clock face! Many 3rd party clockfaces (especially those with animations) are known to use up more battery. If you try this out and are still seeing a fast battery drain, we can connect you with Customer Support for next steps or you can reach out to them and create a case.
We look forward to getting you all back on track!
Fitbit Update 12/22:
We've released Fitbit OS 3.0 out to 100% of users. Please make sure you have the latest version of the Fitbit app (2.84) before downloading the newest firmware.
We're excited for you all to have the newest Fitbit OS, but please let us know if you have any questions about this update. Happy Holidays, everyone!
Hi, everyone!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 3.0! (Firmware Version: 32.33.1.30)
We've started to roll out this update and it's currently out to 20% of Versa users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Versa users can expect to have it soon. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
WHAT'S CHANGED?
Please check out this help article to see what's new in this update.
HOW DO I UPDATE?
Step by step instructions for updating your Versa can be found here. We recommend updating your Versa over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Versa to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into trouble updating your Versa, please follow these steps:
*If anyone isn't seeing the TODAY app after updating, please try the following:
1. Make sure you're running the newest version of the Fitbit app (version 2.84)
2. Connect to Wi-Fi in the Fitbit app, plug your Versa into the charger and let it sit. This will automatically update the Today app.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have questions, please let me know in this thread!

I haven't done a factory reset to get the last update - once 3.0 is rolled out everywhere will it show up and will I be able to update to it directly without doing the interim update first?
Thanks.

Wow, I never got the last OS update...I'm still on 32.32.10.15 so I'm not expecting anything anytime soon...

Updated the version however, I do get the today app but not all stats show up. It says I can track up to 7 stats but it only has core stats, hourly steps, heart rate, and cycle track. NOT sleep or water as stated. Help! I do want those stats

I have tried EVERYTHING to get this update to install on my app and nothing works. First of all, it takes forEVER just to tell me the update "failed". I had this very same issue with the last update that came out. Finally, I gave up. Excited about this latest version, I decided to give it a go. This is very frustrating, as I have tried all of the options listed (uninstalling my Versa from the app, forgetting it on my bluetooth, restarting, reinstalling, etc.). I am not very tech savvy in the first place, and I shouldn't have to be, to have something as (what should be simple) a fitness watch. You should just be able to follow the easy instructions and have your update. I am desperate for a solution. I need my watch properly functioning so that I can monitor my bradycardia.

Hi everyone!
We're still rolling this firmware out, so if you don't see the update just yet, it will be there soon! I want to make it very clear that you don't need to perform a factory reset to get this latest firmware either. If you do perform a reset, you will not be prompted to download Fitbit OS 3.0.
We suggest waiting until you see the update banner inside of the app. That is when you can begin the latest firmware download. Updates are not released based on country/regions either, so it can reach anyone no matter where you live.
While you all wait for the new firmware, I suggest updating your Fitbit app to the latest version. This will ensure a smooth download process once you do receive the update.
Thanks for your patience.

Same here. So I never got the previous updates.
Did a factory reset and it updated to 32.32.12.19. Dod another reset and no further SW updates.
Guess the whole wait and you will get the update is bogus. Or, the previous update was not rolled out 100%.

My Fitbit Versa updated last night and today when I swipe up on it to see my steps the screen is black. I followed the steps to fix it in this forum but it has not fixed the problem. I uninstalled the app from my phone, removed my device from my account, turned it off and back on but it will not show my steps on my device. It syncs just fine on my phone. Help, please.

@BrittMilleville Hi, there! For this, I recommend trying these two steps:
1. Make sure you're running the newest version of the Fitbit app.
2. Connect to Wifi in the Fitbit app, plug your Versa into the charger and let it sit. This will automatically update the Today app.
@HoYo78 I'm sorry you've had some trouble updating. Please check out this article for additional steps: Why can't I update my Fitbit device? If you're still having trouble after attempting these instructions let me know.
@Alex902 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! For this new firmware, we don't recommend performing a factory reset. I'm glad it worked out for you @mpacker, but this step won't be necessary for everyone. We will be rolling this out to everyone no matter the current firmware version you're on.

As for the Ionic and Charge 3, I will check to see if I got those updates as well tomorrow.

@Luharris, it might just be the bluetooth connection.
You could try re-pairing with bluetooth if you haven't already done so:
If that works, you shouldn't need to do it all again. It should keep working after that.

The mobile application showed the new update that it is available (Hungary). I updated the new firmware with WiFi. It was quick, about 10 minutes. At the moment all OK.

For me, the update went really fast and said it was done. But my app still showed the pink doohickey indicating an update was available. When I hit it, it kind of hung there and did nothing and I eventually killed it. I think it may have been futzing around with the Today screen update, as that was only partially updated at first.
The battery seemed to be draining a little faster than usual after the update, so I restarted my watch and it seems to be OK. I'll know for sure Friday morning, as I charge every day during my morning routine.
For anyone who is curious, I was not part of the initial 20%, I don't believe; I would say that Fitbit is satisfied with the update and is rolling it out to everyone.
