Hi All,

I have a Versa 3. I live in Australia. It seems Fitbit have remove all methods of payment via the Versa 3. Is this true?

I had Wallet working fine until the end of July this year. Then it stopped. I contatct support but they did not help.

Can I still pay via my Verse 3 Tap and go option like I used to?

Cheers,

rob

You just have to switch to Google Pay instead of Fitbit Pay, and add your cards back on Google Pay.  It was a smooth switch for me, although on a different model.

Hi Johnny,

Can you expalin how to do that? I've looked at other threads, but nothing works for me.

Also, it seems we cannot get rid of the wallet on Versa 3, is this true?

All the best,
Rob

@JohnnyRow IDK about Australia, but here Google pay was phased out in June. Google wallet is used now, and @kenrob2037 said they already had Google Wallet working. @kenrob2037 Try support chat or call? It'd be a lot quicker than waiting for peer to peer help here.

As I recall, it kept prompting me to switch, and I just followed instructions, but what I just found by looking it up:

@JohnnyRow Right, Google wallet, not pay, which @kenrob2037 said they already were using.

@JohnnyRow You're telling them to switch to google pay and they're saying they already had google wallet?

@MarkMM  Correction, I guess I did mean Google Wallet instead of Google Pay.  Just know I switched from a Fitbit to a Google thing for paying.  Hope I didn't complicate things.

@kenrob2037 can you verify you actually had wallet and not fitbit pay?

@JohnnyRow I did too, and it was pretty simple and straight forward.

Hi Johnny,

I too saw that article. But my Android Fibit app does not have a wallet tile or any option in it anywhere to add a wallet or credit card.

I use the lastest Fitbit Android app availble here, which is 4.22.2.

Any futher thoughts?

Best,

Rob

Well, I've got an icon on my Versa 3 that says wallet, I can't hoenstly remeber setting it up. When I tap on the wallet icon, it open up to my credit card. But as I mentioned, it has stopped working.

Any thought on how to get a payment system working again on my Versa 3?

best,

Rob

So it sounds like you are all set up. You have to Google wallet on your watch, you open it and see your credit card, but then it doesn't work.
So now you have to be more specific about "it has stopped working".  Do you mean you try to use your Versa 3 to pay for something and it doesn't accept it?  Does it give any kind of error message, or just nothing happens?  Do you have another credit card you could try adding?  Or if not, even remove that card and then add it back?

I now have it working.

On my app, the battery icon is also the device icon, I didn’t know this. I found the add wallet, and set it up, so I assume the nxt time it try it, it will work.

Thank you for all your help.

All the best,

rob

Well, I tried it today and no, it still does not work. I have scanned my card into the app, it verified it and said all ok. When I tried it at a shop it just said declined. Then I tried my phone and it worked, with the same account set up in Google Wallet on my phone.

Any further thoughts on how to fix this frustrating issue?

Best,

Rob
